Dragon Age Inquisition sold over 12 million units and "massively oversold the internal EA projections"

Commercial failure in this case translates to it didn’t make twice the money in the world. That’s why you never listen to investors as a consumer.
Didn’t play DAI tho. Loved the first one. Dreaded the second to the point I didn’t trust the franchise when DAI released.
How was it GoTY? Was 2014 that weak or is this cherry picking a small media outlet?
- It got GOTY at Game Awards, beating out Bayonetta 2, Dark Souls 2, Hearthstone and Shadows of Mordor.
  
  So probably a weaker year but I’d say all of those it beat out have withstood the test of time better.
Too bad it wasn't a good game...
- I thought it was fine. Just a departure from the established Dragon age formula.
  
  It was my first Dragon Age game and I liked it.
  Made me interested in the older titles.

- The only part of it that I felt sucked was the timed war table stuff. The rest was a solid, great game. Were there parts that could have been better? Yes. Does that make the game bad overall? No.
