Boeing whistleblower John Barnett died by suicide, police investigation concludes
  • If yours got converted, then the server you're using, doesn't support drag and drop gifs.
Instead of drag and drop, upload the gif to some other server, that allows such stuff and use that link in the ![alt_text_here](image-url) format as given by @Riccosuave@lemmy.world.

For instance, the above comment has its GIF stored on tenor.com, which is less probably the default provider (for when you drag and drop) given by lemmy.world

  • Slightly less than two drinks = positive effect on programming ability
  • Maybe it depends upon the person.
I have difficulty programming properly while listening to music so maybe I'd find it hard to do so with alcohol too.

In my case, it's probably because I tend to keep as much of the context as possible into my current memory, which gets reduced if I'm distracted by sounds (whether music or noise). The ADHD Relief music tracks tend to work well though, since they aren't very distracting and help get rid of other peoples' noise.

  • Windows 11 is now an ad platform--this is why we're here
  • I don't see an ad in my graphics driver. Even update notifications are optional.
When I open steam, it is because I'm thinking of gaming and most often, I'm hoping for a game deal popup.

Though, I'd love to not require opening Steam when I just want to play a game.
And that's why I'm willing to forego regional pricing and pay almost 4x for GoG games, at least for games I feel like I will be playing for a long time.

  • Do you think...

No I'm not thinking about that.
I'm just trying to reason between public sentiment and over here, trying to say that public sentiment has less to do with actual technical viability and more to do with random comments from influential people.

There are actually, many directions in which people are trying to find ways to make the H2 storage viable for specific applications..

  • Nearly all major car companies are sabotaging EV transition, and Japan is worst, study finds
  • It probably has to do with some of the engineering problems with containing hydrogen.
It definitely has a lot to do with influential people bandwagoning onto Elon Musk et al. trashing EVs

Came back to the game after a year or so, just to see this:

    !Shows how to opt-out

At least they let us disagree to the ToC. Not sure if I can play the game after that though, since I just exited after clicking the disagree button.

Also, at least they show us the changes on the top, so we know what happened.

Can Tokodon connect to Lemmy server?

Would it make sense to consider asking Tokodon to support connecting with Lemmy servers, or is there too big a difference between the APIs, requiring a separate application?
