Download issues with Firefox Mobile for Android?
Been seeing an issue with downloading stuff from the Firefox Mobile app on Android. Sometimes when I press download on files or images, the download never actually happens; the file never appears in my phone's local files or in Firefox's download menu. There's no progress bar or any other indication that it even attempted to download. Usually only happens with either big files or when in areas of low connection. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?
An example of this is today: I went to download an image from a website while in an area of less than optimum connection. Firefox never attempted the download despite trying from birth the website and from the image in its own tab. Google Chrome was able to download the image with the same connectivity, albiet slower than normal (though it was only a second or two slower instead of being instantaneous).
Downloading on FF mobile is veeeery hit or miss in lots of aspects, one of those things where I wonder if the devs ever use this thing.
I don't have problems with it, so they might not be able to reproduce it either...
Which is completely fair. It's not consistent for me either; most of the times the download just works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it does but takes a little while (specifically for larger downloads) except Firefox doesn't actually tell me it's in progress and cancels the download if I leave the app. It's all around very confusing.
Having issues with it as well. Mostly when downloading things that need me to be logged in somewhere
More or less the one functionality I have never seen even a whiff of an issue with. Click link, get asked for download, hit download, it downloads.
I've never seen any issue with it, at all.
