A major IT outage has grounded planes and sent broadcasters off air.

When being let go from your Sysadmin job a few months ago is a blessing in disguise.

Happy I'm not in IT anymore.
One of my first major outages was caused by the iloveyou.vbs virus that emailed itself to your contact list. It brought our exchange server to its knees in minutes and took quite a while to clean up.
Nobody really understood at the time that attachments could be dangerous.

So is this what was making my teams show me as away? I kept trying to make it green and shit but it wouldn't change.
6 2 ReplyI've never been happier I dropped out of my CS classes
3 2 ReplyAww why may I ask?
3 0 ReplyI naively applied to only one university, a private institution that I was accepted into surprisingly enough. The downside being that it was absurdly expensive, and I only realized halfway through my first year there that my loan payments were going to be impossible to make. I did have a plan originally, but it was contingent on academic excellence that was probably unrealistic.

Still waiting for "updates good" crowd to weight in.
7 6 ReplyIt was a 3rd party update and you absolutely should keep your systems updated.
There you go 🙂
