11 0 Reply7 0 ReplyI had it backwards for a really long time because you draw / from front to back (ie you write it in a backwards direction) I thought that was the back slash. That still feels right to me despite being wrong.

In the old days of using UNC paths a lot we found ourselves saying whack whack server name whack share name. Then forward slash was just slash.

I always remember the difference by imagining them as lines on a graph. Forward slash is the line with positive slope and backslash is the one with negative slope.
