Do you ever have to note or recall information afterwards? Because for me it wouldn't be the sitting in a call for 5 hours part that would be the problem, it would be someone asking me to tell them anything that happened in it that would be the problem. I couldn't even tell you who was in it
What headset are you using? I've got a big ass nose cancelling headset I use on my personal computer, but it's a bit much for work - especially since I have to be on camera occasionally.
They won't give us wireless ones unless there's some kind of medical exception... The managers get them but we don't. I would buy my own but every time I try to use any of my own equipment IT freaks the fuck out about it
Caffeine gives me FAR worse withdrawal symptoms than my prescription Adderall. Caffeine also just really fucks me up in general, I think I have a caffeine sensitivity or something or maybe it's just the GAD I have. The worst part is I really like caffeinated drinks and I convince myself "the caffeine won't be bad" and chug a monster or coffee or something, then I feel extremely high stress like I'm on the verge of a stroke for the next few hours lol
Also caffeine destroys my sleep more than my brain alone already does
Basically carbs and fat give you energy, if we’re talking the literal term. I think protein does too but it’s less.
But stimulants do unlock mental resources. I believe caffeine induces a fight or flight state (what I’ve heard; haven’t studied this), one aspect of which is the body decides to make
more energy available at the cost of faster breakdown.
Dopaminergic stimulants give your body the sense it’s pursuing something important. So the same zap of released resources called “motivation” that you’d get if you suddenly realized your favorite person in the world is outside, you can also get by taking adderall or cocaine.
Only if you take it once though. If you drink coffe regularly, you only get withdrawal symptoms if you have none instead. Coffeine has no stimulating effect if taken regularly.
You're making your heart work harder. You also need to rest harder as a result, to avoid accumulating damage. There is a lot of interpersonal variance, though, with different bodies and genetics.
That's just stimulant withdrawal. The whole jittery restless leg thing. I seen studies linking rls to ADHD and one study pointed out symptoms lessen with stim use. However the studies don't further examine this connection. Is Big pharma blocking the studies? The peer reviewed study should be done on rls on ADHD medicated people vs ADHD non medicated. If the studies are not done it shows they don't want people knowing what some of those stims they prescribe can do to you if you are not careful.
That shit will change everything about you if you are not careful. From your brain to your gut micro flora biome that shit can seriously change you. And I've had people who had 0 knowledge of my use tell me I've changed. And it's scary when someone randomly tells you one time that you've changed. And you've been noticing you've changed but were wondering what exactly changed and if it's just in your head or if anyone has noticed. And I was going to get into how it changes you but I won't I'm sure for anyone who cares they can find it on Google. Just know it's like the glassy eyed dog saying I'm fine while everything around him is on fire burning. The eyes represent having recently ingested a stim. And I will say it's scary when someone randomly tells you you've changed. And you're not sure what they mean until you quickly realize what they meant. Your voice is more monotone and flat than ever. You barely have any emotions to things around you the emotions you do have is mostly anger caused from an overinflated ego and withdrawal. Or it's just a pure blissful state where literally anything can happen right now and you wouldn't give a shit because you on that dose. On top of that. You can barely take a proper shit anymore because the natural microbiome flora in your gut has been completely devastated from whatever the fuck stim. And they say the gut is connected to the brain. I'm saying it seriously changes you people.
All that from one pill 2 or 3 times a week. I can't even imagine if I went ahead and did it everyday as recommended. They(doctors) even recommend you to just power through some of the negative symptoms for weeks because they say over weeks they gradually get better the more tolerance you build. They want you to take that shit until you forget what you are normally like. Like that meme of the dog where everything is burning down around him and he's just big glassy eyed saying I'm fine.
Honestly for the best. Without my trifecta of amph+caffeine+nicotine (vape ofc smoking is eww and unhealthy) I don't think I'd bother getting out of bed but that's just an ADHD moment.
The amount of people addicted to caffeine who don't even know it is crazy high.
The costs of withdrawing for some are higher than others, so for these people quitting isn't just a day or two of headaches, and possibly their life doesn't afford them the luxury of going through the pain and low productivity
Many factors play into it rather than just low self control, in case you're wondering why you got down voted.
Self control is a road to many abilities, some of which are considered unnatural, such as not drinking coffee. My personal favorite is to connect to points in space time together, to create a hole to crawl from one side to the other, for example, to connect the university of Tubingen and Boulogne-sur-Mer.
