Ability to link/reference communities in a comment using @ symbol (you press @ and start typing community's name and it drops down a list to select one). Not sure how viable to implement this would be, sounds hard... 🥹
Similar as above - ability to call a Lemmy user via @ symbol and get a drop down of usernames, starting with the ones commenting on the same link? (Lower priority than linking communities)
Lemmy syntax to do these things is super weird and would be really helpful if Sync helped automating it.
Other than that - props and thanks to the devs for making this awesome app. Wish other apps had so many customization options and put user comfort first. Those "little" things like, for example, ability to search through options or even directly link to specific options are super cool! And the fact that you ask users what they'd like to see next is just an icing on the cake 😊
For the auto complete of linking, shouldn't Sync follow the Lemmy convention and communities start with ! and users start with @ or is that what you mean by super weird?
Better crossposting support. Web view shows you communities that something has been crossposted to and has an easy crosspost button. Would like to see the same in Sync
Would be cool if we could create private tags on users. Say someone gives you a really cool tip and you want to remember that, you tag them. Or someone acts like kind-of-a-jerk but not enough to block them yet, you make a note of it. You can only see your own tags, nobody else's.
This is more of a fix than a feature, but I find that sometimes when I'm in my inbox, I can't get back to my home screen. It's inconsistent but it happens a lot, and I usually have to open a comment reply, then go to the thread, then the community, and then I can use the home button again.
It's something that happened with Sync for Reddit too, so it's not a new issue. I can't seem to work out a pattern of circumstances though, it just seems to happen randomly.
