This is where my brain went to also. It would also give us all drug glands so we can get high whenever we want.

The Culture is the absolute best depiction of a utopian science fiction society and nothing else what I've read or seen even comes close.
Does anybody have any recommendations that come close or exceed it? I've also read The Dispossessed which is pretty cool but it's not really the same kind of optimistic utopian vibe as The Culture.
