The season traditionally has run from March 1 to Oct. 31, but Alberta Forestry and Parks Minister Todd Loewen says it's now underway.

Yeah. Totally worth the $30 mill cut from the wild fire prevention services since 2018 (~25% of the budget). And the $350 mill cut off the wildfire contingency fund (~75% of previous budget). Get used to the smoke everyone.
So stupid when people talk about how nice it is to live in AB because of no tax....
Don't worry. A massive fire will destroy entire towns, and they'll probably blame the libs.
