Is this guy on some kind of arc or is this just the anti-interventionist strain of libertarianism?
the anti-interventionist strain of libertarianism?
i don't want to claim any kind of redemption arc, because I do not know the inside of their mind, and their correct words alone don't mean anything, but usually if it were merely anti-interventionist libertarianism, they would be doing the Rand Paul thing of complaining about the loss of Amerikkkan "blood and treasure" in the "middle eastern quagmire" rather than lamenting the loss of civilian life to imperialism.
Here's his follow-up Instagram video (rehosted alternative), which was captioned
Bush lied, the uni-party lied, Americans died, and now they are more powerful than ever. Anytime you think to yourself “oh our government would not do that.” Remind yourself that oh yes they would.
So unlike the attention-grabbing image, pretty much all the concern in this video is indeed about blood and treasure + lost civil liberties for Americans, not the millions of deaths caused overseas.
thanks for your response,

not surprised, good to know
tbh probably just incoherent American politics.
Also I think this post is partially directed at the Ukraine War. The right has been trying to brand themselves as anti-interventionists for years, and they're on hard anti-interventionist footing anyways right now wrt to Ukraine. Bring up China and Mexico and that anti-interventionism drops away.
It's also the national bourgeoisie opposing wars waged on behalf of the haute bourgeoisie I guess.
He sucked off his cousin and the GOP turned off the money spigot. If I had to guess, he's trying to get a career in "alternative media" now. Give it a month before he's booked on TYT.
