  • No I don’t respect that opinion and seemingly almost no one here does, that’s why your hundreds of posts and comments on your two week old account have been down voted to hell.

So do you think people should only post articles they think will get upvoted? And create an echo chamber of "like-think." Do you think that would be better than supporting diversity of thought and opinion?

Oh wait, you repeatedly post leftist third party advocacy in the middle of the election to decide Fascism or Democracy?

I'm not sure what you are implying. Care to clarify?

I post Libertarian third party news as well, which in theory takes votes away from Republicans. Funny how those don't get nearly the number of downvotes. Hmmm, curious.

Anyone who still supports Trump after a decade of his rhetoric and actions is a Fascist. I repeat again:

So again, do you think that half of the country is made up of fascists now? You know, you can just answer yes or no. Pretty simple question.

Half of entire country isn't going to vote for your candidate. Are they wrong? Are they fascists?

I respect and support your right to vote for whoever you want. Do you support them voting for whoever they want, as is their American right?

    • Good try bad faith troll. Hopefully, you get banned for spam soon, these arguments aren't even worth refuting.

      • Renoved, civility.

      • Hopefully, you get banned for spam soon,

Why would I get banned for spam?

These are political news articles written by news orgs, and posted to a political news Lemmy community. That's not "spam." That's called posting content that matches theme of the community.

        • Why would I get banned for spam?

Because you've posted 1200 posts or comments in two weeks, that's about 10 an hour for 14 days straight. Almost all of those comments were multiple paragraphs. Making the exact same talking points and ignoring every time someone refutes you.

          • My comments are mostly in response to people commenting with me. It's called having conversation. If someone doesn't respond to me, then I don't respond back.

I have posted MANY non-political articles, and this is not the only Lemmy community I post to.

And just because someone hasn't changed my opinion, doesn't mean that I am spamming or that I'm "ignoring every time someone refutes" me.

It's called staying true to my convictions. You post your opinions, and I reply with mine. Then you reply with more of yours, and I reply with most of mine.

Nothing you have listed is defined as "spam" in any shape or form.

Do you realize that I post Libertarian third-party news too? And many would argue that libertarian candidates actually take votes AWAY from Trump and Republicans? What about my science articles? Or my education articles to education communities I moderate? Or my articles supporting unions and teachers?

Are you under the impression that I only post to c/poltics?!

I get it. You're mad because I am not voting the same way as you. That's ok. Diversity of opinion and thought is good, healthy even.

But I'm not spamming anything, and it's uncivil for you to falsely accuse me of that.

And it's awesome that you care about me so much that you look up how many articles I post. Unfortunately, I don't feel as passionate about you, so I haven't looked up your profile and I have no idea how many articles/comments you have posted.

You can be mad at me. But don't make up stuff about me. Cool?

          • Almost all of those comments were multiple paragraphs

Is there some rule against being a fast typist?

Is there a word-count that you prefer that my replies be?

      • Good try bad faith troll. Hopefully, you get banned for spam soon,

I'm not a troll tho. I just have a different opinion than yours. I support and respect your right to your own opinion. I just have a different one.

And calling someone in this sub a troll is generally deemed uncivil, definitely not respectful, and may be against the rules. Please keep your replies to me civil.

Just because you don't agree with me, no reason to get personal and lower down to name-calling.

        • And calling someone in this sub, a "troll," is against the rules and deemed uncivil. Please keep your replies to me civil.

Oops didn't know that, but looks like being bad faith and spamming is against the rules too.

          • But I'm not arguing in bad faith as I have been posting my real views and opinions, and I'm not spamming.

I post political news articles written by news orgs, and posted to this Lemmy political news community.

That’s not “spam.” That’s an example of posting Lemmy community-themed content.

If you feel any article I have submitted to this community is against the rules, please contact the mods and let them know. They are very good at moderating this community and they remove anything that is against the rules fairly quickly.

            • I have been posting my real views and opinions

If these are your real views, then I am dreadfully sorry to have engaged with you.

              • If these are your real views, then I am dreadfully sorry to have engaged with you.

Yep, those are my real views, as are the views I discuss in my replies. And the comment was that I was arguing in bad faith, and I assured you I wasn't.

So what about my profile makes you so "dreadfully sorry" and worried?

I'm sorry I still haven't looked up your profile, but I don't care enough to do that, because I don't know you and you seem very rude to me in our discussions so far.

Hopefully, it was just a bad day you were having, because I try to default to everyone having good intentions unless proven otherwise.

                • "Transracial-Mormon", I already have massive problems with the LDS church and "transracialism", but to claim to be "transracial" in one of the most racist church in the US? Cmon.

Which race are you trying to transition into?

                  • You left the "Satanist" part out tho. Did you overlook that?

Do you really think I would be a "devout" traditional Mormon if I were also a Satanist?

And also, are you implying that you judge people based on their religion? I hope not, as that doesn't sound very democratic.

And since you seem to have a question about my religion:

I practice Independent Mormonism "where individuals or groups embrace and adapt some of the teachings and some of the practices of Mormonism such as strong community ties, frugality, living debt-free, promoting and continuing education, healthy habits like avoiding drugs and alcohol, daily exercise, and more, with much more progressive views on theology, science, and social issues, while not necessarily believing in the supernatural aspects of the religion."

                    And I'm a Satanist. :)

                    • Nice job completely ignoring the question. The question was, which race are you trying to transition into? If you're transracial after all.

                      • I've answered this question before with other people. But I don't feel like you are asking in a respectful way.

Do you talk to transgender people like this as well? Serious question.

Because it's up to me if I want to share the information with you or not.

And again, not sure what this has to do with a political discussion. Does my sexual preference matter to you as well?! I'm not sure what point you are trying to make by getting personal with me.

You disagree with my opinion. I disagree with yours. But I respect your right to your opinion, and I expect the same courtesy from you.

Getting personal is not making your point. Please stay civil and try to avoid personal insults please. Thank you!
