Das stellt Schulen vor ein Problem: Können sie den Informatik-Unterricht noch mit dem System gestalten oder müssen sie auf eine Alternative bauen?

Doch vereint sie alle ein großer Nachteil: Sie fahren lieber selber als sich tragen zu lassen. Hierdurch beschränkt sich aber auch ihr Einsatzgebiet auf das Labor selbst und den angrenzenden Räumen.
> Gerade für die grundlegende Einarbeitung in die Mobilrobotik wie die Ansteuerung unterschiedlicher Antriebe (Mecanum, Omniwheel oder Differentialantrieb), der Umsetzung regelungstechnischer Aufgaben und der Anbindung von Sensorik ist die Versuchsfläche des Robotiklabors nicht unbedingt erforderlich. ___ Persönliche Bemerkung: Ich konnte mir diese Roboter-Platform auf der Maker Faire Ruhr 2024 ansehen, bekam dabei sehr nett und ausführlich die Hintergründe erklärt und fand sowohl das Konzept als auch die Ausführung toll.

Weiche, wasserhaltige Materialien auf starre Oberflächen zu kleben, war bisher sehr aufwändig oder gar ganz unmöglich. Doch tatsächlich gibt es eine einfache Lösung, berichtet eine Arbeitsgruppe um Srinivasa Raghavan von der University of Maryland. Man kann eine große Bandbreite von weichen Stoffen fest mit Metall- oder Graphitoberflächen verbinden. Dazu muss man zwischen diesen für kurze Zeit lediglich eine Spannung von wenigen Volt anlegen, anschließend haften die Materialien dauerhaft aneinander. Der Mechanismus könnte neue, von der Biologie inspirierte Maschinen ermöglichen.
