Michigan Trees
- Enjoying some Lemon Sherb live rosin by Peachy
Peachy is one of my favorite Michigan-based rosin companies. Fantastic value for the price. Lemon Sherb is great, tastes citrus-y and funky.
Information Entropy in Ann Arbor just started carrying Peachy rosin this week. Very exciting news to have a more affordable rosin option.
- Michigan ends marijuana testing for most state jobswww.cbsnews.com Michigan ends marijuana testing for most state jobs
This change means regulations will look at recreational marijuana use much like alcohol use and won't test for it in new hires.
Recreational marijuana has been legal in Michigan since late 2018, but in the years since people looking to work for the state of Michigan were still subject to marijuana testing. But that changed this week in a unanimous vote from the Michigan Civil Service Commission.
This change means regulations will look at recreational marijuana use much like alcohol use and won't test for it in new hires.
- Happy 710 y'all! What are you dabbing on?
Currently dabbing on some Cake Crashers persy rosin badder by 710 Labs. The taste packs a punch: earthy and sweet, with a sharp (citrus-y?) flavor.
- What are your go-to or favorite dispensaries?
I wanted to start the conversation of MI dispensaries you've enjoyed (or maybe ones you wouldn't go back to). Most of my experience is in southeast MI, just to caveat my preferences which are all in Ann Arbor:
GO-TO: Information Entropy
Without a doubt, Information Entropy is my dispensary-of-choice at the moment.
- Flower: The house flower is top notch and fresh, I've never been disappointed. Usually around $99 for half oz. Some highlights include Alien Mints, Project 007, Runtz. For a more budget-friendly choice, 7 Point usually runs around $50 for half oz and is great bud.
- Concentrates: Diverse and high quality selection of concentrates. I'm a fan of rosin, and their house rosin is fantastic (e.g. Zealousy, Motorbreath). They also have the best prices for 710 Labs I've seen. All concentrates are kept in a fridge/freezer, and recently they started giving out ice packs for the drive home.
- It feels like every few months, their product line evolves into a higher state, which keeps me excited to return.
OTHER FAVORITES
- Winewood Organics: Their flower is very tasty and feels grown and handled with love. Going to Winewood feels like going to a farmers market. While a little pricier compared to other options, their product quality more than justifies the cost for me. Some highlights include Peanut Butter Breath and Grape Gelato Pie. I've also tried a few rosins and really enjoyed them, particularly the Superboof.
- ArborSide - North Coast: I recently visited Arborside for the first time and loved the deli style flower (thinking about buying my own Cvaults). I went on customer appreciation day, and the prices were fantastic, around $50 for half oz. I picked up Banana Macaroon, Tropicana Cherry, and Great White, and have been enjoying all of them. Kind of a weak rosin selection though.
- Yesterday’s FLWRpot pickup: Banana Macaroon, Tropicana Cherry, Great White
Shoutout to FLWRpot for their quality flower. Yesterday Arborside had incredible customer appreciation deals. I was able to walk out for 99/oz.
- Banana Macaroon (top left) - Very very sweet, classic banana terps
- Tropicana Cherry (top right) - Fruity, cherry, sweet
- Great White (bottom) - Reminds me of “The White” back in the day. Haven’t tried it yet, but smells sweet, looks like it will knock me on my ass
- Levels Brand Cartridge Review
First time going to this dispensary, mainly for the proximity to where I was traveling at the time (near Niles, MI) and the fact that they had a 13/100 deal on these cartridges. I had to pick some up and try them just to see how a $7.50 cart would taste, worst case scenario I had some shitty carts that I could use up whenever or give to family or something. I was pleasantly surprised. I got Grape Ape, Watermelon Zkittles and Cherry Pie. The terps are cheap tasting but not too obnoxious, and the distillate is definitely not the smoothest, but overall it is a pleasant experience. They don’t burn too quickly, use a decent ccell(looks like the same one the other cheap carts use with the blue plastic tip), they pack a decent punch, taste alright and for the price I wouldn’t mind buying them again.
- Inaugural post from a Michigent refugee - Zealousy + Starburst
Hey y'all! Kicking off this community with a few flowers I've been enjoying immensely: Zealousy #43 (by Information Entropy) and Starburst 36 #1 (by 710 Labs).
Bless the church we call Information Entropy, and Becks for her incredible recs!
