- Purchasing and picking up train tickets for Naritaa - Kyoto
I’m arriving at Naritaa Airport at 08:35 and would like to continue my journey by train to Kyoto.
I’ve found I can take the Naritaa Express to Shinagawa. From there I can take the Shinkansen Hikari on the Tokaido line to Kyoto.
The problem is I’d like to reserve/purchase tickets beforehand. I understand I can purchase them online and I’ll need to pick them up. It seems that I can’t pick them up on Naritaa airport or in Tokyo because the Tokaido line is operated by JR West whilst Tokyo is in JR East.
If I purchase a train ticket online from Naritaa Airport to Kyoto where can I pick this up on the Naritaa airport?

- USB outlet plugs in Japan
Hey !Japan,
I’ll be visiting this country for the first time in a few weeks. I know Japan uses different wall outlets than my country, so I was debating about buying adapters, or waiting and buying USB plugs when I get there.
All of my devices can be charged by either USB A or C, and I was wondering if anyone could share their recommendations in this regard.
Is it easy to walk in to any convenience or electronics store and pick up a couple chargers for cheap? Would you recommend this over buying some travel adapters ahead of time?

Is There a Website Where I Can Roughly Check Prices of Used Tech Available Locally? (Particularly E-Readers)
To be clear, I would not be buying them online. I would only be looking at the prices and probably look around in Akihabara or the appropriate place on where to buy stuff like these.

The boathouses of Ine, found in an area called Kyoto By The Sea in the prefecture's northern region, are an exceptionally popular tourist spot. Ine is a scenic fishing village of around 2,000 people which sits on a quiet south-facing bay. Spend some time staying in a boathouse right on the water and take in the tranquil ocean air.

Are There Free Wi-Fis on Train Stations? or Recommend Places With Free Wi-Fi?
I'll be traveling with a big group (family of about 20+) and we might avail a portable wifi device for the group as a whole.
If I plan to do some stuff away from the group, are there any reliable places where they offer free wi-fi so I don't get lost?
- Lesser-visited areas you recommend to first-time travelers?
What were your favorite little spots that weren't horribly touristy that you hope other people get to see? A couple of mine are:
- Shimokitazawa - cute shopping district not far from Tokyo
- Miyajima Island - beautiful island with tame deer, easy mountain hikes, and lovely temples, off the coast of Hiroshima via ferry
- Kamakura - former capital of Japan with lots of temples, a historic electric railway that still runs antique passenger cars, and surfing at the beach. 1.5 hours south of Tokyo.

- First trip in February
We are planning our first trip to Japan in this upcoming february after a long postponing due to covid. Would love some tips from others here! We have dates but no specific ideas while there yet. More specific questions:
Recommended budget per day based on general costs of food and lodging there?
Recommendations for places to go while generally trying to avoid touristy locales?
Train for getting around while there or is there a better option?
How important to study basic Japanese?
Thanks!
