- Newest seasons more boring than funny?
What do you think of the last 2 seasons of Futurama?
For me there are basically only 1-3 episodes in each season that I could consider somewhat funny. The jokes aren't great anymore. Don't know if it's Disney ownership that made season 11,12 boring or the writers basically done all jokes already.
I think it was the wrong move to revive Futurama for these 2 last seasons. Last time it ended perfect with meanwhile. Or the ending in into the wild green yonder with the wormhole. Those two I consider great.
- i think Hulu speeds up parts of Futurama episodes.
watching Wild Green Yonder with a friend, me watching the movie on my Plex, them watching the version broken into episodes on Hulu.
i pulled Hulu up to make sure i stayed synced, and the Hulu version quickly pulled ahead of mine. i didn't notice a missing scene but i wasn't paying close attention to the Hulu version.
when Hulu auto-cycled to the next episode, even with outro and intro credits, it brought it back to sync with my version. we're ⅓ through episode two, and Hulu is currently 14 seconds ahead, although we started this episode synced.
- S12/S9E09 - “The Futurama Mystery Liberry”, Discussion
So Season 12 (or 9, the count is vague) has been a bit of a mixed bag for me, but i absolutely loved this episode. Granted, it isn't that the writing is that great, but overall and including the Themes and Throwbacks it's a solid 8/10 for me personally.
You see, "The Three Investigators" have a very special place here in Germany and they are very popular - i and many others grew up on them and i still love listening to the audio books. They don't take themselves overly serious and it's just innocent riddles. The homage Futurama paid them was just great!
Same goes for Tin Tin's Adventures, i've been glued to the comic books as a kid and they do a really good job there as well.
The last one fell a bit short, until Neil DeGrasse Tyson came up and had some really great one liners. And well, LeVar Burton is just LeVar Burton. Awesome Episode for me, but i may be very heavily biased on this one :D
- S09E09 Discussion - The Futurama Mystery Liberry
Probably my favorite this season, so many childhood characters
- S12E4 - Discussion
Pretty good episode, I thought. Familiar adventure with the core group, nice pacing with good callbacks.
- Thoughts so far
What are everyone's thoughts so far?
First episode: nft are old fade but their take was nice. I loved the "no concevable reason"
Party episode. I do love flash backs and really felt for fry. His mom just wanted to male him feel better and she ruimed his friendships. To bad fry never that his mom was cheating. Love the joke aboit "its a highly alkaline solution"
TemP worker. Best one so far and i love it came the day i got my new library card. Jeez show make me feel outdated.
So far not as good as last season.

- I just noticed the Australian man from Spa 5 is also on Osiris 4 in a later episode
I’ve seen this show thousands of times. I have most of it memorized to the point where I can recite it from memory, but I still catch new things all the time. That’s one of my favorite things about this show.
What’s something you realized after rewatching the show several times?

Found this interesting. I never saw the updated version, but I am guessing I probably wouldn't have noticed the change. Just a random article I came across thinking you might enjoy. Or not. If I die, tell my wife hello.
- S7:E26 - Meanwhile | Moon-Balloon making sound
This might sound insane... but on a rewatch of S7 E26 near the beginning I swear I hear the 'jumping pixar lamp sound'.
This happens when Fry and Leela are entering the carnival and Fry has a balloon made of Leela. The carnival personal making the balloon I swear is the noise of the Pixar lamp jumping.
