  • Yeah and a meteor could smash into your house in the next 30 minutes but I wouldn't count on that either.

The way apps work on android is, they are compartmentalized, if you disable a system app like this, the worst that will happen is some things may get wonky, if you enable it, it will start right back up again.

It's just a service, if it was something that tracphone wanted to absolutely keep you from disabling, they would have put it in the bootloader. It's most likely just a marketing app that they get kickbacks for including on their phones

Edit: Here, exactly like I said. My man you got this idea of a worst case scenario in your head with absolutely no evidence

  • I work for a lighting and staging company and it's different with each artist, some we hold on to for the artists, some are donated to us, most are kept on the tour trucks with the crew chiefs keeping eyes on them all the time

  • I use nordpass since its just a few bucks that way, but yeah, absolute redo of all my passwords in a much more secure way, and I'm pretty sure it's not on the computer and have done some scans, but I'm being extra cautious

  • Yes they're physical, and I'm not worried about accidentally deleting them, but I'm just checking to make sure there's not some sort of virus that can jump to non system drives or something, also, some of them do have program data in them, I should just delete all of those right? I can only imagine it causing problems on the reinstalls
