  • LTS releases get more and more attractive with age.

  • Back when the other site first shut down there was an update to jerboa that made any instance under v18 unusable. Which was most of them for about a week.

  • That won't hide the IP and really doesn't hide the domain name either if your company actually has any decent monitoring on the network.

    General rule: if you're on the company hardware or network just assume your IT department knows where you're browsing.

  • PCap is just a packet capture. "Closed" in this context just means the connection is no longer currently active.

  • The app in the screenshot is just capturing packets. The list shown are connections made during the capture and closed just means the connection is not currently active.

    That said, I downloaded Ally, ran that same packet capture but never saw anything sent to Facebook. I got to the login screen just fine.

  • Correct. Closed here just means the connection isn't ongoing.

  • I remember being so sad as a child that no one would listen to my stories; I was so immensely interested in what I was talking about and to see people just start gazing off really hurt.

  • That's awful. For a long time they were the only ones offering over 100m in my area, I hated the asymmetrical speeds but at least the service was reliable. Jumped ship as soon as fiber came to the area.
