Some Lemmy users refer to communities as sublems. In which case we can conclude that all posts and comments are subleminal messages.

  • Well, it wouldn't "start at -1" in my example. I was either suggesting making the UI block self-voting and start at 0, or have auto-self-voting just like now, but with it starting at -1. Both would result in a default of 0. I hope I made it clearer.

  • It's already too late, but I wished Lemmy had made it impossible to upvote your own post, or made them start at -1 so one upvote puts it on 0. Granted, that's a petpeeve.

  • Not sure about Lemmy, but Mastodon has a "Bot" checkbox that clearly marks the acc as a bot. I'd assume not using that would warrant a ban. Lemmy could copy this if it hasn't already.
