Been wanting to start a 'bad graffiti' sub for a while

A neologism my mother taught me as I was first learning to talk (and eat) was 'clurt'

If you are eating something that is drippy like yogurt or soup you need to clurt your spoon before you put it in your mouth. Grew up saying this and was always confused when people didn't understand what I was talking about

I didn't realize this is a midwestern thing. Grew up with this term in Wisconsin

I am pretty happy with the chaos! I think as long as you are having fun building it keep pushing out stuff as you go and the people excited to use it will keep giving you feedback on whats broken

I agree that 'link aggregator' is a horrible term that is only relevant to nerds and shouldn't be used in any general user facing way as a description. I think this is the sort of thing that is really a collective failure of the fediverse and open source / free culture projects in general is how out of reach all of our lingo is to anyone not already in the in-group.

super psyched by your work here, especially in getting Piefed support merged in. I think having client apps supporting multiple backend servers is one of the fediverse’ strongest directions and enabled a sort of resilience that no other social platforms have.
