  • Sounds like it’s maybe defective. I don’t have that one specifically but I have several of their chargers and power banks and I’ve never had issues with them.

  • In September, Apple announced that the following two states had "signed on" to adopt the feature in the future, but it did not provide a timeframe:

    • Montana
    • West Virginia

In March 2022, Apple listed other states that were committed to offering the feature, and some have followed through since then. The remaining ones:

    • Connecticut
    • Kentucky
    • Mississippi
    • Oklahoma
    • Utah
  • Prion diseases are scary shit and not to be fucked with.

  • I like to joke that the world actually did end in 2012 and now we’re in a weird purgatory type thing.

  • He was so nice to her in the beginning. Offered to race her even. The spitting at him was probably where shit turned sour for her.

  • I’ve definitely dreamed or seated on project ideas off and on for years. I also like to think about pared down versions that might serve as a proof of concept that would be easier to execute. Sometimes I actually even build a thing.

  • It’s marginally better if you say you’re a child. Cancer-lite if you will.

  • Oh yeah, most retailers I see are saying the time is running out even with expedited shipping. Good luck!

Also, what a cute little egg. Looks like a Pika to me

  • But what letter is next to their name? 🤔

  • Baby you make me feel like a walking ghost

  • You really should report this kind of thing. Don’t call the cops, they don’t even kind of care.

  • Bottom first. The leaves would serve as a flared end and a handle. You’d want it to be ripe-ish I imagine. Ripe enough to have a little give, but not ripe enough that the leaves come out too easily.

Pineapples also come in different sizes, I’ve seen some homegrown ones posted on Lemmy that seem…manageable.

  • This level of user facing pettiness is a great way to make sure no one ever wants to do business with you.

  • This is basically the beginning of Idiocracy.

  • I kind of feel like Reddit is the biggest bar in the world and having a conversation there feels like it. If you aren’t loud and early, you can’t really participate in a meaningful way. The smaller crowd of Lemmy is a sweet spot for me. Enough people that it’s not dead, but small enough that I can still participate in conversations.

  • Very cool! I’ve never quite seen a design like that, nicely done.

  • I was curious what “cadre deployment” was, so. If you are too:

Simply put, “cadre deployment” is when a political party sets out to achieve its strategic and ideological, goals by spreading its influence read control] across all spheres of society by placing party activists in positions of power in institutions of state

  • So true. Even things like “pre-approvals”. Like, you’ve gone to a medical professional about your problem, you both agree on the right way to go forward. Now you have to get your insurance company’s approval to receive this type of treatment before you start the treatment OR potentially pay out of pocket for what you need. That generally is cost prohibitive and how people get into hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical debt.
