Anyone seeing the aurora? Last year when this happened I could see it through a camera in my backyard, this time no. I think yesterday was stronger but it was too cloudy.
Well that was an eventful morning train ride. Packed in like sardines as Metro cancelled a train during rush hour, then someone fainted in the train. I pressed the emergency button as I was right next to it, and a group of us helped the person out of the train. While this was all going down, people on the platform were trying to cram into the train and those of us helping were yelling to back off so we could get the person off the train. The next train was coming in 5 minutes, the desperation of people to cram in was nuts.
In my weeaboo days I used to love listening to Japanese language music. Somehow a hook / chorus in pop music transcends understanding the language. It actually helped me learn some Japanese.
Hello! Been a little while since I posted, I was o/s for a couple of weeks. Got back yesterday and slowly adjusting to normal life again.
Woke up before sunrise as I was asleep by 9pm last night, completely totalled from the flight home (got the row behind the loud & crying toddler, lucky me). Still not feeling 100% though, there's a big sleep debt to catch up on. Have been tackling some life / business admin and washing this morning. Then will go for a walk to bask in the winter sunshine and need to fill my very empty fridge with food.
I really don't understand people's obsession with using Teams / Zoom / whatever for one-on-one short meetings that are perfectly suitable for a phone call. I get it if there's more than one person involved in the meeting, or it's going to be a detailed meeting. Then I feel awkward if I leave my camera off when the other person joins with it on (and 95% of the time, it's on).
Yay! Pilot light - if it's like my old gas water heater, there's a ignition button you push a few times and hold once you hear gas, then watch for the flame to appear underneath and continue to hold the button for a bit, then release.
Also account for the time for the water to heat up, so maybe do this 24 hours before you need hot water.
I agree with you. But circumstantial evidence is good evidence when it leads to no other reasonable explanation besides intent to kill. I havenโt heard of any evidence (so far at least) that goes beyond the accused acting suss. Thereโs weeks of this trial to go, Iโm only referring to whatโs come out so far. Much more to the story to come.
Iโm so enthralled by the mushroom ladyโs trial. Using the different coloured plates to hers is sooo suss. But I donโt know, all this evidence so far reported seems circumstantial.
The deciduous trees in my backyard aren't dropping leaves, they're not even changing colour anymore. Half the leaves changed colour and dropped earlier in autumn and then with all the warm weather, the process completely stopped. Even noticed around the inner city, a lot of the plane trees are still mostly green. Nature is confused too!
Why is going to Chemist Warehouse such a stressful experience? Narrow isles with too many people, long waits for prescriptions and then waiting in a line to collect them. Then another line to pay. Or maybe my local is just a bad one. This place is a time suck.
Me! I think it's quite rare for the accused to take the stand in a murder trial, cross-examination by the prosecution is going to be a hoot.
