When playing Jellyfin off an Nvidia Shield TV, is it possible to set a default external video player per TV series?
AFAIK, this is not a thing. I don't recall seeing any discussions about making this a thing.
@wilberfan@lemmy.world On the home screen, go to the gear in the top right, in Playback you can select the player. Either auto or specifically select a player. There is a separate setting at the bottom of Playback to set a different player for live TV.

I second the CCwGTV. 4K in my case. Has, AFAIK, the most recent Android version of just about all the Android dongles/boxes. Has a very clean home screen when you enable Apps Only mode. Sadly doesn't have AV1 support (but the HD model does).
