I have a belt with a plastic buckle/cinch thing now that i always make sure is my “flight belt” for this reason. Even for events i know will have security check points for access. I’ve only ever had to take it off ONE time in like 8-9 years and that was flying out of Dublin airport to mainland Europe last month- i had already gone through the scanner and I got flagged. Security dude said it had nothing to do with plastic vs. metal belt, just that it was a “bulky area” that something could be in…..well, fair enough, i guess.
But….i’m already in the store trying to buy the things? Why do i need to hear constant jingle advertisements for the store im already in? Not jingles for products or certain sale items…just the store itself….as if i kept forgetting where i was?
“Save big money, save big money at Menards!!” Yeah, i know- that’s why im here! But ima leave if that shit doesnt stop!
Yes. It’s plaguing almost every post from any decent sized page or group. Automatically assuming you want to ask certain questions regarding the content of the post. Annoying as shit and clutters up your feed even more. (Im only on there for certain IRL groups that unfortunately use FB as their only means of communication)
Off the main topic of the article here, but that was a roller coaster of thoughts for me with the Title and the link thumbnail-
Kinda looks like Drew Berrymore in the thumbnail, so “Bionic Girl Debuts…” oh cool, new movie—-wait, Drew lost her arms and now has prosthetics? Opened the article…..Ohhh…
We rewatched this movie last fall sometime and (obviously) immediately knew who that was…we were surprised because we didnt know he was in it. Basically this just dates how long it had been since we last saw the movie…..
Second this for the US. Nothing major as a nation, but various small things in different areas or cities.
I know Hawaii does a Lei Day- “May day is Lei Day in Hawaii”. Not a full on holiday, but there’s usually festivities of various levels around the islands.
Fair enough! I grew up on the gulf coast and have traveled all over the deep south, have family from northern Louisiana, and my parents lived in Baton Rouge for a while- so i wasnt trying to “assume” for you! A1 (for me) is just one of those things that seemed so common i stopped seeing it and never needed to look for it!
Like I said, you aint missing much, so im glad you aren’t familiar with it cause there are waaay better options where you’re at!!
Odd you havent seen it being from the south…but that’s probably for the better! It’s Steak Sauce. Meant to be put on steaks…it’s in all major grocery chains and usually on the tables at most restaurants serving any sort of a steak menu. Bottle is shaped like a Worcestershire bottle, but has a white label with a big A1 on it. I never cared for it so at this point couldn’t even tell you what it tastes like.
If a steak needs a sauce, then it’s not a good steak.
With that said, i’ve seen it used as a marinade ingredient, or more complex sauce ingredient- so it’ll still have its uses.
I second this, Ken Roczen (Pro Supercross/Motocross racer) from Germany just got US citizenship earlier this year….
Also this- Dual Citizenship in Germany
You’re not wrong, but if not for the massive billboards and the american branded vehicles- ive been to a number of cities in Europe and the UK that look like this or worse, with more traffic and more, much larger buildings….(i currently live in Germany…)
Also, places in Hawaii do look like this, too, unfortunately…mostly Maui and Hawai’i where there’s this much space, but Ohau’s south shore has been bad far a long time 😕
If by Ice Miners you mean Ice Planet 2002? Then yes, i am 100% with you. My brother was collecting all the Blacktron and I was everything Ice Planet. Loved that white/blue/neon orange look! I still have almost all the sets, with boxes and instructions stored away at my parent’s. All except the damned Deep Freeze Defender ship…i never was able to get that one cause it was so expensive. - i do have the whole Ice Station base, tho, ha.
Not sure what happened to my brother’s collection- it could be back home as well!
That’s what I was thinking, too. 5 subpanels for an average residential home is pretty huge. 2-3 is still okay for a 150-200a service, but 5…that’s a lot of circuits….
I played through all 3 games again back-to-back a few years ago (having previously only played separately as they released), lots of stuff tie them all together and loop back to familiar scenes and incidents from different angles and times, even a 2 part DLC for Infinite. Basically looping back to where the first game starts that kinda makes it an Infinite story loop…very well done.
Also, there’s a book that prequels the first game- tells the story of Ryan building Rapture and how it all got started. Lots of back-story and lore on quite a few characters…especially “Fontaine” and how he ended up as the fish merchant…
This is like the new (horrible) meme trend. So many “POV…” that should be MFW, or just dont add anything. It’s like everyone forgot wtf POV means….
This and the “Literally nobody: “ extra lines are what make me put my phone down and go to something else….after i leave this comment, of course…
