Clonezilla can also update grub. Last time I upgraded system drive I had to do nothing.

Hi, anyone could point me at an ELI5 about SAS hardware? I'd like to assemble a NAS using an old HP Z200, I want SAS because I'd get also a tape drive for backups and I cannot find SATA tape drives. For example, is a Dell Perc H310 pci-e card good for me? Can I avoid hardware RAID?
On my work laptop with windows 10 I find this feature quite useful. Every time the damn thing decide to not boot again (happened twice in 3 years) I can just waste half a work day formatting and reinstalling the OS and then all my files are where I left them.
