What's a technology that was cooler in its older iterations?
  • Its so annoying how hard it is to find blades for safety razors. Twice now I've flown somewhere with no blade in my razor hoping to find blades at the destination and had to either buy a disposable or get blades sent to an amazon locker.

  • He would go on to stand there for about 30 minutes
  • I really want to hear the room chatter that was happening 5 minutes in. Surely after like 15 the sorts of people there would have been like 'ok we're vibing with the supreme leader listening to music, this is cool too' but after 5 minutes there had to be some confused discussion that would be really funny to hear.

  • Bros who still buy Tesla's thinking they're morally superior need a reminder
  • This is nonsense. We find oil faster than we use it most years, proven reserves have been an upward trend basically forever. If we completely stopped looking for oil we still have about 50 years left at the current rate and we have bigger problems if we haven't slowed consumption in 50 years.

  • Daylight savings
  • You're assuming that everyone's schedule follows the sun the same way. People already have different time of availability because of sleep schedules. Without time zones you wouldn't have to do the additional step of converting times or asking their time zone or being caught off guard because you didn't know their country went to DST already.

'Are you available between 10 and 16?' vs 'Are you busy tomorrow morning? oh tomorrow morning my time, uh like in 10 hours'

  • [OC] These mushrooms are massive
  • Almost definitely puffballs, one of my favorite mushrooms to forage. Though I've never had ones this big and I hear they lose a bit of flavor if they're giant.

If you cut a *(vertical) cross section and it's a uniform texture with nothing that looks like the structure of a classic capped mushroom that should rule out any lookalikes. Should still be good if the inside is white and not starting to turn brown.

  • A school district in Pennsylvania approved nearly $9,000 ‘to cut windows into the ‘gender-identity’ student bathrooms so passerby can look inside’
  • That doesn't seem to be a code? Are you talking about the cope lintel and I guess 2104.1.1?

*oh that's some 2021 version change. PA is on 2018 and chapter 21 is masonry which got me to the other violation.

You can violate 2021 IBC all you want in PA because it isn't adopted code. 2018 only cares about privacy for urinal partitions and the enclosed stalls which weren't touched.
