Curious, why not Ubuntu? Doesn't it have more support forums and generally more popular?
You clearly haven't talked to Asians about how strict their parents can be. I've heard of guys getting their asses whopped for slacking off in studies. The same applies to some black parents too.
As someone who works in finance, I will openly admit that private equity is a cancer. Sure they have their benefits. But the inherent need to constantly generate alphas means you either cut costs till you're tiptoeing the legal line, or sell shit people don't need to increase your revenue. Then you can finally sell the business to a bigger fool (usually another PE) firm, and claim you turned the business around by generating 10x more profit.
Address some of the issues. Like not having multiple similar posts, on different instances with similar named communities.
Also to reach critical mass, we need to keep posting. Addition of new apps such as Boost will also increase popularity
Yes!!! Complete change in general usage of the word.
Nobody is coming to save you. Nobody. If you want help, ask. If you don't want to ask, learn to save yourself.
True, I'd rather support Firefox as a browser and an organisation. Edge for pages that work best with Chromium engine
Same here. Edge gets a lot of bad rep, but I still prefer that over Chrome or Brave (due to its affiliation with crypto)
People in EU use mostly WhatsApp and Messenger, cuz most people don't have iPhones
Since currently Lemmy is mostly made up of nerds, I'd like to know what browsers you use and why? You could just upvote the comment with your browser of choice if you don't want to explain.
Can they do the same for Google recommending Chrome?
I think that might help, asking for volunteers. Segregating them based on their abilities (LinkedIn profile for instance). There are a lot of people who have a couple of hours a week they can spend for such a cause. Please check with your colleagues and see if asking for volunteers is possible.
Donating money is also an option, but in this economy, it's not sustainable to donate significant sums on a recurring basis for most.
Unpopular opinion: Win 11 works well for me, and is visually better than Win 10. Although it's a fairly recent PC. Although if they keep pushing more telemetry and ads, I'm moving over to Ubuntu.
Which is why shared cars as opposed to everyone or every household owning one makes sense. You'll be more thoughtful of when you need it rather than using it because it's always there.
Other than gamers, there's a huge share of enterprise Windows users. And they're not likely to shift OS, because of IT admin issues. Others in this thread have commented on how Apple is struggling to get devs to build native games compared to Windows.
Sure the number of home PC users might decline, one can always hope.
No, he's not. Have you looked at commercial real estate especially around dedicated business districts in cities such as London, Paris and Frankfurt? Long story short, a lot of businesses (big ones such as HSBC) are moving to city centers and into smaller offices.
Angry baguette noises...
But yeah most houses in France don't have a bidet. They wipe
That's a lot of speculation for a single cable
Headphone jack means I can use the same earphones for years and not throw away my wireless earphones after a year (of heavy use). Whole point of Airpods was to create a new revenue stream for Apple, not just make your life easier.
Checked Apple forums, you're right. It's 200GBs shared
