Hope you get an employee discount too. I loved that when I worked at Sprouts. Of course they maxed me out at 39.9 hours every week. So I kinda got a discount in lieu of healthcare, but still, I liked the perk

It's just not something you can do in your garage these days (or for the past few decades), even if the designs were open sourced. I like your idea and wish there was less concentrated power in chip manufacturing, I just don't think it's very feasible.

Yes but it this one it will be licensed out to everyone so they can all do it as soon as possible. Oh well, at least we've got huge screens for pretty cheap

I feel like there's very few people who could design and build their own brain implant chip. Even in the far future

This seems like a good option, assuming your work will let you access remotely. It's honestly surprising to me that they'd let you bring your own hardware back and forth and allow it on the network.

Hopefully the CHIPS Act helps with that. I know it's boosted construction already, but once the new fabs are built they'll need a larger support staff
