  • It moved from more a spooky sci-fi to a drama that killed the interesting new character every episode. That's gotta be one of the most disappointing series after the expectations set from the first season.

  • I just checked and they have MLB Network. Is that the one you mean?

Edit: just want to say I'm assuming you're subscribed to the live YouTubeTV. Because I'm using the Hulu live and the price is way different from the non-live version

  • I ran into my mail lady when I was getting my mail the other day. Turns out she had just tossed everything a few days before and started lecturing me on not letting my mailbox fill up.

I went there to get a new card that Id been informed was sent a few days ago and asked her how it got so full.

Then I saw all the junk mail she was shoving in and , not thinking, asked her if I could unsubscribe from all the obvious crap because mail is almost useless these days. She got a sad look on her face and I almost felt bad

  • Getting a fab up and running is an incredibly time and capital intensive ordeal. And the hardware they use, known as 'tools', are not designed to sit in some dusty warehouse in the meantime. Even if it was feasible to move them all out at once. Like this is sensitive equipment and there's tons of it. There's no way they're moving entire fabs out. The money lost in downtime alone would be astronomical.

  • I work nights with 2 other guys. One of them is cool and seems to be a bit introverted, but we're both into sports so we'll watch games the first few hours and chat intermittently. The other guy openly hates sports, but loves "shooting the shit", which he understands to mean him going on a fringe political rant or into way too much detail over some random shit he saw on YouTube.. Luckily work gave us headsets with ANC, so me and the cool guy just headset up once the games are over and live in silence on the slow nights

  • The thing is china is great at reverse engineering things, but not great at manufacturing things to the spec needed at this precision. There's literally one company on earth that supplies optics manufactured at this level of precision (Zeiss), who have spent decades to get where they are. Even if China has the design technology, they would still be far behind in the manufacturing if they're trying to make their own optics.

  • If only they had reliable utilities. Samsung's fab in Austin got shut down for a few weeks from ice-mageddon. Messed them up enough that they threatened to leave if Texas didn't give them something to make up for it.

  • Ohh I misunderstood your other post.

I agree with your main point. I don't think international manufacturers would find value in spinning up new fabs here just to make chips for the DoD. But it does make me curious how big of a chunk defense is vs total. I would guess it's pretty small. Chips are in everything, it's not like these aerospace guys where DoD is their cash cow.
