Going through the motions of elections right now feels very much pointless
“going through the motions” is a huge reason why we’re on the other side of issues to these fucks: we’re on the side of due process, faithfully executing, reading the law as intended, of evidence, of science
we don’t jump the gun because we don’t let our feelings dictate when, where, and how we dish out punishment - we wait for evidence so that we can be effective, and fair

the power imbalance is important: the government is a large and powerful entity which is meant to serve the people without prejudice. people are individually small, and only gain their power from being a large group. the government is given power by the people in order for it to perform tasks beneficial to all, and must be accountable to the people
also weirdly significantly increasing your fiber intake in a short time (going from 0 to 30g - 100% RDI - of psyllium husk for example) can actually cause diarrhoea
