  • My understanding is that Fennec only removes Mozilla's telemetry, whereas IronFox (forked from the discontinued Mull) is that plus patches to further harden the browser.

IronFox is available through F-Droid via the project's own repository, but is recommended to install through Accrescent, which you can learn more about here.

  • Andy Yen's messages were echoed and doubled-down on by official Proton accounts.

The truth to the posts made are the critiques of the Democratic party, not their praise of the republican party. If their posts consisted only of the former, there would be nothing to argue with. But their statements included the unhinged notion that Republicans are somehow antitrust and will fight monopolies.

I would say it is wrong to praise an opponent for doing something right when the only basis for it is that one of their opponents is also fucking up. The fact that democrats are controlled by money has no bearing on whether or not Republicans are.

  • But you have to pay humans, and give them bathroom breaks, and allow them time off work to spend with their loved ones. Where's the profit in that? Surely it's more clever and efficient to shovel time and money into replacing something that will never be able to practically develop beyond current human understanding. After all, we're living in the golden age of humanity and history has ended! No new knowledge will ever be made so let's just make machines that regurgitate our infallible and complete knowledge.
