That's a bummer, I still watch him from time to time but accept it as factual. Didn't think I needed to fact check him.
Distrotube hits hard. I remember the video showing everyone his collection of increasingly larger guns was the checkout moment for me. Even saying one of them was great for kids. As a non American maybe I just don't get it.
Gross. I heard he lost a hell of a lot of money on crypto and hookers, so that checks out.
Boogie2988. I thought he seemed like a reasonable, unbiased person when I was watching around 2016. Kind of just moved on with my life after realising he was just following YouTube drama.
Have checked him out in the last year or so and it's not looking good for him. The really sad thing is that he could have just taken his money and lived a chill life, but he seems to want a spotlight and to feel important even if it's because people are shaming him for being a washed up b list youtuber.
Wasn't there that indie game I can't remember the name of.. The End of Us? Something like that.
Reading it now.. It truly is horrible. I'dn't've is still #1 though
Wow he really did it. I'd love to see what kind of arguments makes someone do that.
It's hard to get an apprenticeship to become one in Australia after your mid twenties. I've heard it's because your pay has to be a fair bit higher than the kids just out of school, so they'd rather train a teenager.
I think with all the frivolous lawsuits based on music sounding similar in cases like Kate Perry and Ed Sheeran lately, you'd be crazy to release AI generated music right now. Marvin Gaye's estate probably have lawsuits already drafted up.
Of course, it will be expensive for polluters to deal with. Tax payers will pay for most of the pfas testing in drinking water due to municipal water testing unfortunately though.
Oh yeah, we're not at the sweet spot for mass yet. 10 times bigger would still be fine IMO!
Can second the comment about tutorials. It's amazing how your very very specific problem has a great tutorial, with the worst possible audio, that is perfectly solved by some random dude in his bedroom in India.

I completely agree.
Reddit is worse because of its size, resulting in problems with spam/low effort posts and comments.
This smaller size is a bit of a double-edged sword though. If I want to discuss cooking/chef knives with people, for example, there isn't a niche community specifically for that topic. Maybe in this way it's best for people to head outside of Lemmy to other forums for more specific interests, and Lemmy can be more tech/general discussion oriented.
I haven't quite figured that out yet.
I think it's because people trend a lot older on Lemmy than Reddit. I imagine a lot of the more vile opinions you see on Reddit are teenagers. I've not seen much unhealthy discussion/ad hominen on Lemmy yet.
And the new high poly heads look quite a bit worse. Tidus from the remaster would look right at home in Team America.
Agreed, it's not perfect. Never mucked around with them myself, as 60 has been fine enough.
I'm in the camp that 60fps is still acceptable. With the Steam deck I think I've even moved to thinking that a stable 45 fps feels smooth enough. 120Hz is a bonus, but I think mods will give you unlocked framerate if the game comes to PC.
Bloodborne 60fps patch is on Silksong levels of hype in the souls community. Guaranteed sales FS.
Interesting, I find it hard to see how this wouldn't be annoying, but it looks pretty novel.
Just wondering what a rough split is of people using either Usenet, torrents, or both?
I've only just discovered Usenet and while it is paid, it is very cheap and much more convenient than torrents.
Using torrents as well with the *arr suite set up for my various Linux ISOs.
Seen a few times bazzite has been mentioned, but just have seen another user say they have OpenSUSE installed.
I'm not sure what the benefits of these options are, especially non-steamOS ISOs?
I see it referenced constantly here, not quite as much on Reddit. I know what it means, but just wondering why such the popularity over on this side of the fence?
I really didn't think this was going to happen. Lemmy is missing an app at the level of boost for reddit.
If the UX is close to what BFR was, then this will really help with platform migration.
