  • Such sweeps have been on the rise, especially since a May meeting in which top White House officials placed significant pressure on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) officials to step up arrest numbers.

“Why aren’t you at Home Depot?” the White House adviser Stephen Miller reportedly asked the Ice top managers during the heated meeting, where Ice was instructed to arrest at least 3,000 people a day under Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, which would amount to a million arrests a year.

Ice raids and arrests outside Home Depot outlets last month led to massive demonstrations in Los Angeles in particular. The protests set up a showdown between the California state government and the Trump administration, after the US president deployed the national guard over the objection of the governor, in a rare and extreme move, to clamp down on the pockets of fierce protests across the sprawling metropolis.

I hope Stephen Miller, ICE employees, and the rest of their ilk get what they deserve.

  • Thank you for posting this.

The people are rousing and that at least is consoling in the midst of this ongoing genocide by the state of Israel.

  • Dear lord, this is beautiful.

  • The French, as usual, showing the rest of us how it's done.

    Merci, mes amis!

  • I hope these ICE agents, who were undeniably illegally urinating on school property, get what they deserve. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

  • White supremacist accelerationism, an ideology centered around the belief that terrorism is necessary to ignite a race war that will create a White ethnostate in the US,

I'm glad they caught him. I hope he gets what he deserves.

  • This is beautiful - thank you for sharing.

  • I’ll note that the Aryan Nations Nazi compound used to be in the area. They ultimately lost control of it after the SPLC sued them for shooting at people. The buildings were donated to local firefighters, who burned them as part of practice. The shooting happened on the anniversary of that burning.

Thank you for sharing this important context.

  • Holy...

What this brilliant person stated. I second that.

  • You rock, flandish. Thank you so much for your service. You and your colleagues are heroes.

  • Lordy, that was a punch to the gut. A little painful, but very accurately stated. Please take my up-vote.

  • This does of course imply the protests are working.

I'm sure he's still helplessly whimpering at night in bed, following caps-lock reality-divorced social posts, over his birthday parade failure as a result of No Kings and the 30,000-pound non-penetrating ordnance adventure in Iran.

Therefore, I think we should continue to protest.

There appear to be activities scheduled for July 4 and July 17: https://www.fiftyfifty.one/
