I had one big problem with VLC, in that it could not figure out which of my monitors I wanted the video to run fullscreen on. That was infuriating to the point I switched to MPV, and I'm very happy with it
Sadly, no
As much as I hate him, a large majority of the games that are given away on that platform are fully DRM-free, and that's pretty damn cool
One of those times where it sounded perfectly correct in my head, whoops
Others have said all the important things, but I wanted to add that there are things that Android always tunnels through a VPN, like internet connectivity checks.
So even with Always-ON and Block Connections, this will still ignore a VPN
As far as I know, it's all we have right now
I recently discovered Image Toolbox, it has the best editing capabilities of any FOSS Android app I've seen so far. That being said, if developing RAWs is something you need as well, I don't think there exists anything besides Google's Snapseed and Lightroom mobile.
As for taking pictures, I quite enjoy OpenCamera, but there's not much else than that.
There exists a frontend called Proxitok, but I can't comment on how well it works or what it can do. The LibRedirect addon for Firefox can redirect you to the instance of your choosing.
Great addon in general, do check it out if you don't know it already.
A very stupid gamer lesbian with a dash of chaos activist, that sounds about right
I still don't get how cramming 108MP on this tiny of a sensor is going to help anyone with anything
I've never even heard of it. Anyway, use Graphene if you have a Pixel, and ideally DivestOS if you don't
Firefox (at least on Android), actually violates the GDPR for connecting to Adjust without user consent.
So no need to look further for any privacy shenanigans, this is unbelievably disappointing, coming from Mozilla.
Most of them, that's fair. But I do see a distinct lack of email apps supporting it.
Not common enough, when you look at the small list of apps that support it
That breaks anonymity, not privacy
Meanwhile I use a monitor with a max brightness of 250nits, and I still have it set to its absolute minimum.
I can't even imagine how just a short flash of 400 would feel to me
It's the absolutely-proprietary package in the AUR, don't know if it exists on other distros
I saw the title and thought it was a post about Tim Sweeney at first
Alt text:
The image shows a still from the movie Inglorious Basterds, framing the character Hugo Stieglitz looking absolutely annoyed and fed up with the game of Who Am I? that is being played. His head is replaced with that of a goldfinch, which in Germany is commonly known as the Stieglitz, and he has a card on his forehead that says Marco Polo
I'm currently trying to get Transistor to run. EndeavourOS, Nvidia gpu, and I have the Windows version that was free on Epic that one time, so ideally I'd like to run it through Heroic.
According to PCGamingWiki, it can be run DRM-free with the -AUTH_LOGIN=unused
launch option, so that's what I'd like to do.
EDIT: I want to be able to sideload the game files
Looking on ProtonDB, people mainly suggest setting the compability to Windows XP, and it seems to run best with Proton Experimental. One report mentions adding it to Steam to launch it there, but it's all the same for me:
Quick blackscreen with the game trying to launch, and then it crashes back to desktop.
Did anyone get it to run recently? Any other ideas I might've missed?
So you know how sometimes your brain remembers a post you saw and doesn't let you rest until you've found it again?
Well, a few days ago I looked through wlw/lesbian/sapphic memes, and there was this one cute drawing of a strong, tall woman in the first panel going sth like:
Hey, look what I can do!, as she crushes a watermelon with her thighs.
The other woman, seen in the next panel, just stands there, frozen in place, being all😳, with watermelon squirting in her face.
This image tickled my brain the right way, and I need it back🙈
Can you help me? I'm offering to put you between my strong thighs as a reward.

Jokes aside though, while I'm struggling to find therapists for an official diagnosis (which I need for hrt to happen) I unexpectedly got an appointment with an endocrinologist already.
While that won't get me anywhere in the foreseeable future, it's still nice to have this first talk, and get all the important things out of the way ahead of time.
So, what are some important infos I should give them?
- Medical history: Past illnesses and diagnoses, known allergies, medication I take
- My personal goals, what I wish to achieve
- How does my current day to day life look in terms of physical fitness and mental health
And what are some important questions I should ask them?
- Potential risks and side effects
- Does any of the info I gave them conflict with hrt
- What changes can I expect, and how quickly
- How often should I have follow-up appointments for which purpose, either twith them or with my GP
- Where do I go to freeze some of my genderfluid, in case I want to have biological children one day
- How would a change in calorie intake affect the changes hrt introduces (primarily in terms of fat gain)
- Are there any lifestyle changes I should make to ensure everything will go as smoothly as possible
- What support resources are available for further questions that may go beyond endocrinology expertise
Do any of you lovely ladies have anything to add? I want to make the most out of this first appointment even if it won't make the whole process go forward by much.
At least everything will be taken care of by the time I'm officially allowed to take E.
So my fear of sharks has gotten better, and I don't quite understand why.

But anyhow, you've probably found me because you've seen one of my totally inconspicuous comments
I'm open to chat about these and other related things over on Matrix
