@Schlemmy @Lurkinney Isn't there an option to disable the voltage flashing? I recall something like that.
@flashlight for those asking why I'm not on the pictures, working with the others, I was going back and forth from the stage with equipment, because the stage and backstage are 1,10m above the floor, and van, with no elevator or stairs nearby :D
3000 K BraTS10 and 4500 K DD MT21C lighting up the inside of a van while loading up the theater set and equipment. The van was otherwise not lit at all on the inside. @flashlight #flashlight #theater
@cobysev @GraniteM I have a french version from 1942 and modded it with a pretty low power, 2700~3000 K single LED drop-in, and more importantly a 18650 battery with integrated USB charging. I built a cheap 2D-18650 adapter by hollowing a piece of wood from the bottom and putting a flat-cut screw through the top to make contact. My grandpa use it and is happy with it. Way more runtime, bit more light, same temp.
@Curious_Canid I read somewhere that the last digit is the shape : 0 for cylindrical
@Hikermick feet light ftw
@mp3 my little sister (21) just now: "I want that!"
Thanks, I now have an excuse to buy them :D
(And 519A-mod them before gifting them)
@mp3 how did you know I wear Crocs
I'm officially the flashlight guy of the family, according to this present 😭 \#flashlight @flashlight
@flashlight Left to right: TS10 3000 K, MT21C 6500 K DC-fixed, MT21C 519A 4500 K DD DC-fixed, TS10 4000 K.

Also dec 8 in Lyon, FR, is a historical festivity all about illuminations.
@bpcomp that's a way to do it
@bpcomp I think a LEP defeats this purpose.
@SammysHP So it's one color at once only? No ramping? Only two brightness settings for each channel, + strobe? Still a cool light!
The biggest "moonlight" capable light you'll ever see https://youtu.be/LDiXNsWQzD0 @flashlight
@Zak Thanks!
Hi! Do you know where to find floody TIR optics to put in my 519A modded MT21C? (\~1 inch diameter) @flashlight #Flashlight
@fujiwood Messy at the start! https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/171lkvk/first_messy_try_at_modding_wip/
Then, since I purchased the LED already soldered on a MCPCB, I desoldered the stock one, ground a bit the new one to fit, soldered the wires back on the new MCPCB and voilà. Changed the thermal paste too.
@infinipurple Indeed!
@flashlight The Nichia heats up faster than the Cree. (IR video on fedi link)
@flashlight Beamshots (on fedi link), still locked settings and 5600K.
Permanently Deleted
Today I swapped the awful and greenish factory Cree XP-L HD V6 6500K of a Nitecore MT21C for a Nichia 519A 4500K (MCPCB swap). I may try to install a floodier TIR optic. Click the fedi logo for more! #Flashlight @flashlight
Two vise clamps and lots of brute force, I finally disassembled the head of a MT21C, which is a great light with shitty emitter and beam. What emitter should I swap for ? 3.45mm square, 2.79 Vf typical, 3 amps. I like 4000 k and high CRI. @flashlight
@lnsfw3 Qui Sème Danse, first edition of a music, arts, politics festival in rural France
3000k TS10 to the rescue! Nobody planned any lighting for the sculpture ( by @Syl) at the entrance of the festival. It is fixed for a few hours. @flashlight
I think I found a faithful representation of @flashlight and r/Flashlight : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZK8Z8hulFg
@Tuss I think they're shit too, the effective ones were probably banned in France too. Maybe for the better, being highly toxic things burning in close proximity to people. Non-"volatile chemical" solutions may be a better option.
NileRed made a video a while ago about \what\ is the metallic smell. Like the one of copper flashlights @flashlight https://youtube.com/watch?v=BqLH-nTZEOc&si=Fepz2Kah6-rJA-eT
[OC] Hi ! I live near Lyon, France and this is a map from only my GPS traces from the last 4 years. #map @dataisbeautiful
Comparing the 3D beam shapes (and not a side projection on a wall) of the 1 LED + SMO Nitecore MT21C vs the 3 LED + TIR optics of Wurkkos TS10s (4000 K and 3000 K). Using soapy water in a white tub. @flashlight #flashlight
@flashlight I may have overheated my brass TS10. The battery wrap shrank.
I used it continuously in candle mode @ high with the original silicone diffuser for a video shoot, and found the battery looking like that, opening the light right after stepdown (and almost burning my fingers).
