Mirror all data on NAS A to NAS B
  • You would need to create a new torrent whenever new files are added or edited. Not very practical for continuous use.

  • So gist of this is, of they are not some random people hiding, but there's a real company to -presumably- reap in some ad money or subscription money for their StalkerPlus product.or something, it takes a single determined EU citizen to fuck them up.

  • Fun fact, the GDPR applies to entities outside the EU, if they sell to EU, or they handle EU citizen data.

Do I need a second domain to run my own authoritative dns server?
  • Yeah porkbun is good.

To see how the glue records work, you can run dig +trace example.com

This answer goes into detail how it works behind the scenes.

  • NPM - What services need what toggled?
  • Their own doc, sure why not.

Any other context where there's a giant with the same name. No, please at least write it out expanded once.

  • NPM - What services need what toggled?
  • Two wrongs don't make a right. I was scratching my head for a few seconds looking at the thumbnail and the title. And even the post body didn't clarify things. 🤷🏻

  • Do I need a second domain to run my own authoritative dns server?
  • The thing you want is "glue records" the upper level server would serve ns1.example.com (this is an approved domain for example use, better to use example.com than making your own example up) as the authoritative name server. Then provide the glue record which says "ns1.example.com is at IP address X".

It should ask for IP addresses as well as hostname. Otherwise they only assumed people will "host" their domain in another hosted, as opposed to self-hosting.

In that case (and in any other case) change your registrar to someone else who supports glue records.

  • [UPDATE] Could use some recommendations for a (usually) quick typist.
  • I recommend Halo clear switches. they are slightly less noisy than browns, but the real beauty is, after the tactile activation they become "harder" (i.e. more force needed to push further down).

It's an excellent way of training yourself out of bottoming out.

Has anyone been watching the Rings of Power show? Does anyone expect to watch it in 2024?
  • Well it was written nearly a century ago, so it's not too surprising that diversity of representation was not great. Many countries got women's suffrage much later than that point in history.

  • I want to get started with *arr apps - here are all the things I don't understand about (reverse-/)proxies and networking in order to get it set up.
  • Lots of people contributed really good answers, so I don't have anything valuable to add to their answers. But I wanted to point out for your detailed question, you include what you have done, what is your understanding and what are your shortcomings clearly. As opposed to a lot of posts with vague, detail-challenged narratives, that's a top notch post.

And the community delivered by giving good answers, so go community!

Also, you didn't just ghost after the initial post and interacted.with the people who graciously donated their time, so another bonus point there, as well.

  • Self-hosted or personal email solutions?
  • I have been using porkbun.com as a domain registrar.

For email hosting, self-hosting is a lot of effort. If you just want the damned thing to work. I've heard good things about Fastmail, and personally I'm using migadu.com. it's $19/year for micro.

Use any imap client, or if you want to keep using what you're using Gmail and Outlook and Apple mail apps w all support your new personal account over imap as well

I am not personally using these all-in-one solutions, but Casa OS has been posted frequently in this sub; Cosmos Server seems to have many more features than that.

Attached: 1 image @IvanRManuel@mstdn.social excellent questions. The FLIP ship could have missions about a month long. The whole idea around FLIP was to have 300 ft (91 m) of the hull submerged, and sensors could be all along that depth (plus winches on the surface could deploy sensors much deeper)...

"How it Unfolds" new book by James S.A. Corey

There's a new novel, "How it Unfolds" by James SA Corey, which is unrelated to The Expanse.

It looks like it's part of an Amazon exclusive book series "The Far Reaches". I hope it'll be available by other means in the future.
