My coworkers make fun of me, but I bring in laptop with a LTE card to work to do any non work stuff. I don't do anything non work related on company machines.

I do assume IT has too much to do that track what any of us do on our work PCs unless someone gives them a reason.

IDK I get woken up in the worst way if the dog has an accident in the middle of the night.

I don't have a Canon, but I have a similar use case for my Fujifilm which is also an aspc sensor and I've found 18-80mm zoom lens and 23 mm prime have been the most useful to me. Those would be equivalent to 27-120mm and 35mm Full frame lenses.

I hate anything that uses python or depends on whitespace in it's code. Nothing but fucking problems. You know what's hard to see an extra space in a line of code. A missing semicolon is so much easier to find.

That's why I like my mini PC with a laptop GPU. Its not the most powerful, but it can play most stuff at 1080p Very High settings and get 60 FPS all while using 300ish watts. Good enough for me. I really don't want to deal with noise, size and power consumption of a kitted out gaming rig anymore.

Every time I try kde I get pissed off that every time I make a settings change I have to hit apply as well. Gnome I just change the settings and close the window. Plus I can never figure out how to switch workspaces. I like super+scroll wheel or swiping on a laptop.

The best advice I have for strumming patterns is to just listen to the song and try and just focus on the rhythm. Down strokes sound a little beefier and up strokes are a little more jangly. I'm terrible at identifying chords by ear but can get the rhythm down pretty much immediately. It just comes with time.

As far as playing songs I would not worry about playing just like the recording but just getting close enough that it's recognizable.

I moved to the opposite side of the country as my friends and family a decade ago and refuse to travel during holidays. Some years I've been lucky enough to have friends in similar situations but since covid it's been kinda rough. IDK if it will work for you but I fly back between Thanksgiving and Xmas and we celebrate then. Other than that to me it's just another day.

Yup I usually just dry scrub with a little chainmail scrubber to get all the bits off with. Then I wipe down with a little veg oil and it's ready for next time.

I just put out a dog blanket for the dog to lay on top of. That way my sheets stay undogged. As a bonus she knows if that blanket isn't laid out she's not welcome on the bed and if it is she can come up if she wants.

No, you could act on in appropriately. Ask on a date, go in for a kiss etc whatever the situation calls for. You can't force yourself on them or keep trying if you get turned down. But expressing your own interest is the only way either of you will know what's going on.
