  • Religion has no reason to argue with science,

Well, that sounds good on paper. It would be nice if over the centuries, religion wouldn't have ceaselessly attacked and persecuted scientists. If religion was "only philosophy", there wouldn't be so many religious zealots not only denying but actively trying to ban the teaching of evolution at schools. Nope... religion is anti-science. It has to be, because science is the one thing that has gradually taken away religion's authority over the minds of people. Religion is a mind virus, science is the cure.

  • Is that really the only problem you see with people taking justice into their own hands? Less oversight?

  • Very nice! Yes, it's definitely missing gochujang and sauce. Mine usually clings to the pasta and looks pretty similar to a tomato based sauce. I also use less furikake, you went all in on it there. Try making the sauce so it has a really solid red sauce base which covers the mince. Other than that - really happy that you liked it! PS: If you're looking for that little something extra, I have a spicy buldak sauce at home, the one from the famous super hot instant buldak ramen. That gives the dish an extra kick if you can handle the heat. :)

  • I'm one of the few people who never had to leave a religion. My parents just never introduced any religion to me, so I remained at the default factory setting: Atheist.

  • I once cooked this as a student about 20 years ago, because I was broke and had no other ingredients at hand than mince, gochujang and pasta. Liked it so much that I refined the recipe over the years and I've probably made it dozens of times since then. I honestly can't decide which I like better, real bolognese or this. Hope you enjoy it as well. :)

  • Here's a recipe (1 large serving):

    • 250g spaghetti
    • 250g minced beef
    • 1 small onion
    • 1 table spoon of gochujang, more if you like spicier (you can always add more during tasting)
    • 1 table spoon of dark soy sauce (Kikkoman is great)
    • 1 tea spoon of oyster sauce (Lee Kum Kee Premium is my favorite)
    • 2 cloves of garlic (more if you don't plan to go out)
    • toasted sesame seed oil
    • sugar to taste
    • 1/4 cup of corn starch / water mixture (containing max. 1 tsp. corn starch)
    • (optional) 1 tsp. furikake (Japanese seaweed / sesame seed mix)

Put spaghetti into boiling water. Chop the onion into small pieces. Stir fry mince and onion until done. Scoop out excess fat now if necessary. Add slurry and gochujang. Cook until nice, thicc consistency. Add crushed garlic. Add oyster sauce and soy sauce. Add sugar to taste (and more gochujang if needed). When done, mix with a splash of toasted sesame seed oil. Whenever you feel your sauce needs to be thinned a little, just use a bit of the pasta water. And if you didn't waste any time, your spaghetti should be done right at this moment. Add sauce to pasta, maybe sprinkle a little bit of furikake on top, dig in.

  • Correct. He might try to screw your head off.

  • I make a kind of Korean "bolognese" using gochujang and put it on spaghetti, so who am I to judge.

  • I bow to these brave fighters who dared resisting the Nazis, knowing they had zero chances of success. True heroes. Sincerely, a German.

  • I bought a bottle of Rabbit Hole Dareringer before Trump got elected. Very decent stuff. But now I'm boycotting bourbon until America comes to its senses.

  • Absolutely... no measurement that doesn't calculate an index on a per capita basis can be taken seriously. Meanwhile, noone mentions that the USA has the highest incarceration rate per capita in the so-called free world, and they call themselves "Land of the Free". The constant propaganda has completely disconnected Americans from reality.

  • I happily pay for software. ONCE. I have no idea if this software will be regularly updated and if there will be new features. How do we know the developer won't abandon the project? And it's a lone developer, apparently. Ever heard of the bus factor? Give me a license that enables me to use the product in its current form indefinitely, and I might consider buying it. But a subscription? No thanks. Who does this guy think he is, frickin Adobe?

  • I prefer watching three cushion carom. It's the only game where I can't usually guess the player's plans before they play a shot.

  • Good software, but subscription plans are a deal breaker for me.

  • Ich nehme das Bestreben BS. Es basiert auf Bogen Linux, übrigens.

  • I wouldn't disagree that Doom is a very good choice here too. The fact that it has become a tradition and challenge to try to run Doom on all kinds of hardware alone proves how influential Doom is. However, I wouldn't say Dungeon Master has aged more poorly than Doom. Both games are really fun today I think. Dungeon Master is just way more niche, it's older, it had fewer players and the franchise has died a long time ago, while Doom is going strong. It's a tough choice and I admit I'm a bit biased here anyway - Dungeon Master was my first true love when it comes to video games.

  • I bet noone's gonna mention the great grandfathers of modern RPGs. Bard's Tale, Ultima, Dungeon Master... all modern games are standing on the shoulders of giants.

  • Yes, killing Nazis is fun. But even as an antifascist, left leaning German, I'd like to remind people of the fact that fighting in WWII was mandatory for German men. Again, yes, the vast majority of German soldiers were indeed Nazis and they willingly fought for Hitler, they didn't need to be forced at all. Fuck these people. However, there are other examples: My great grand dad was member of the SPD when the Nazis came to power, he was interned in Dachau for a short time in 1933, and forced to join the Wehrmacht. He fell somewhere in Russia in 1942. Not defending Nazis here, just saying. A substantial number of Germans were forced to fight against their will, not wanting to fight was defeatism according to the Nazis, and defeatism was usually punished by execution. Now have fun killing Nazis, by all means. Just be aware of this historical fact while doing so. Thank you.
