  • I just can't shake the feeling that the only way Johnny Cash COULD find any relevancy was to cover am edgy song. The Johnny Cash version just sounds like an old man trying to be cool, it's really lame.

  • I agree with you, ownership is more nuanced than threat of violence. And threat of violence is more nuanced than power and control. If somebody tried to take your blanket, then you may be inclined to report it to the police, and men with guns would show up at his house and take it back for you. That doesn't make you an oppressor.

    Gates, Bezos, Zuck, Page and the likes are very intelligent and very confident. Like I wouldn't be able to one up any of them in a debate, but I wouldn't be afraid of them trying to destroy my life out of spite.
