Agreed, I'm fairly impressed how many games Nintendo is still releasing for Switch very late in its lifetime.

Vinyl doesn't rot, so in addition to being inexpensive, it's popular in areas with high humidity. It does break down over time under constant exposure to UV light, so it doesn't last forever. Then it's just a big pile of plastic trash.

Yup, I picked it up for $7 to play with friends last year. It's worth double that, but not $45. I still play with them sometimes but it isn't my favorite.

Somewhat unrelated, this game has one of the worst menu systems I have ever seen. It's astounding how unintuitive it is.

Don't @ me too hard, but I think @luciferofastora has some good points on sound and anti-cheat. They don't affect me, mostly because I don't like PVP games that need anti-cheat, but they represent a huge chunk of the market and I do wish they worked better on Linux. I'm fully on Linux for my daily driver and generally have good experiences, I'm not even considering going back to Windows, I just wish things worked better for everyone.

This is 100% the weaponization of disability, amplified by people who don't have disabilities but just don't want to change their carbrained habits.

This has historically worked because Bing (from which DDG draws results) previously indexed Reddit. What indications do we have that it will work after this change? As I read the articles, I thought it wouldn't work going forward.

I'd venture a guess that Brave is still allowed to search Reddit just as a legal fig leaf for Google's arguments with regulators.

I got mine to get to work in my (hilly) city in the Southeastern U.S. with high summer temperatures. It's nice to arrive at work or appointments without sweating buckets.

My current bike is a do-it-all touring bike, which I bought for $500 USD during COVID lockdown. I'd probably pay more now, but I think it's a lot of value for the money. Maybe I'd spend up to $1000 USD for a better groupset, but I honestly have been pretty happy with the Shimano Tourney set it came with. they get the job done and need minimal adjustment over several thousand kms. And let's be honest, my fitness level is the thing holding me back, not a few grams of weight on the bike.

This bears repeating more: VW already knew how to make good driver controls. Their buttons and switches were carefully and thoughtfully designed for many years. The decision to throw in touch-screen buttons is either chasing a fad or outright dangerous cost-cutting. Companies like VW deserve the flak because they knew better, and did it anyway.

I don't have much patience for officials who clutch at pearls over ebike fires but ignore hundreds of car deaths each year. Both are problems, but the amount of headlines dedicated to the former is out of whack.

(Dark was so good, I do appreciate the risks the old Netflix took on some programming, even if the company is busy burning that goodwill now.)

Anger and outrage. Extremism lives on outrage, it wilts if it doesn't have pissed off people to constantly feed it.

I just saw the Throttle House episode with the Lotus Emira and Corvette Z06, and they mentioned that the Cup 2 tires were almost cheating, they were so grippy. Dare I even ask what they run for a set?
