It's dangerous to drink period, but yeah, cars are dangerous too.
I like both depending but M/KB are my favorite most of the time.
It's not ideal, but I'm just glad the battery isn't soldered in.
Shit, you're right, H51w.
That said, yeah Zebralights in general are great. Same for Fenix!
Moving more into micromobility seems like a natural step as automakers transition to becoming mobility provides.
Polestar Launches Electric Mountain Bike To Match Its SUVs Andrei Nedelea ~3 minutes

The new Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered has been revealed and it costs €8,900. It's made by the premium Swedish bicycle manufacturer Allebike and it's only available in Europe.
It’s becoming more common for automakers to team up with specialized micromobility companies to offer small, lightweight vehicles to complement their cars—all the major car manufacturers have tried it at some point. Polestar has just revealed a new electric bicycle that it says goes perfectly with any of the SUVs it currently offers. It’s an electric mountain bike made by a specialized company in Sweden called Allebike.
This full-suspension bike has 29-inch wheels, 6.7 inches of suspension travel on the front, and 6.3 inches of travel in the rear. It features a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer frame housing a Shimano EP8 mid-drive motor with a peak output of 500 watts and up to 62.7 pound-feet (85 Nm) of torque.

That’s a healthy boost to help you effortlessly climb steep inclines, and the juice shouldn’t run out too quickly thanks to the 750-watt-hour battery, which is among the bigger ones on the market. With a full charge, the pedal assist from the electric motor can last for 60 miles before the battery needs to be topped up.
Polestar doesn’t build the bike in-house, but it is being built specially for it, so it features Polestar branding in the manufacturer’s official script as well as gold details to match its cars. With its Polestar color scheme, this is one good-looking mountain bike, and it looks even better strapped to the back of a Polestar 3, as shown in the official photos you can see in the gallery.

With its large carbon frame, battery, powerful motor and Polestar branding, this Allebike Elize Polestar Engineered doesn’t come cheap with a price tag of €8,900 ($9,900). The bikes will be delivered by Allebike, and they are currently only available in European Union countries and Switzerland.
This isn’t the first time Polestar has dabbled with micromobility. In 2021, it announced the Makka – Polestar edition by Swedish electric motorcycle manufacturer Cake. Designed for on-road urban use, it was a small electric moped with a 1.5 kWh battery, a 28 mph top speed and Öhlins suspension that cost €5,300 when it was offered in 2021 and 2022.
What else did they think he was going to do with that chainsaw?
If you're banking on extra batteries for quick swap-outs, the Sofirn might not be so viable: You have to unscrew 4 screws to pull the battery out. That said, I've run this thing for hours between charges so unless your trip is extra long, it would probably be OK. Alternately, you could get two and charge one while you run the other.
There are probably more ideal lights for what you want to do though TBH.
No problem, happy to help! Hmm, unfortunately, it looks like that one was discontinued. Shame, it was a great light! Looks like there's a similar model (502) they're making now: https://www.zebralight.com/H502pr-Photo-Red-AA-Flood-Headlamp_p_175.html
I also use a Sofirn BS01 that uses 21700 on my singletrack MTB that I converted into a commuter/touring bike and it works pretty well, though if you use a battery that big it'll limit how light the light can actually be.
That said, I do like my BS01 pretty well and they're pretty affordable: https://www.sofirnlight.com/products/sofirn-bs01-led-bike-light-teck
Briefly, slightly, yes. Practically speaking, it's negligible though.
You might also want to ask over in !micromobility@lemmy.world too but my favorite headlamp is a Zebralight W51 - one button, can be powered by a single AA battery (I use Sanyo Eneloops for rechargeable but it's nice to be able to source a battery from anywhere in a pinch), waterproof, lightweight, pocketable, and doubles as a regular flashlight. Good amount of coverage flood-wise but can project decently well, and at the lowest setting it lasts 40 hours.

There's the new G-line but I don't think he was using one of these.

According to the article, there was definitely a good amount of carrying but they rode plenty too (why wouldn't you if you brought a bike all that way).
No idea about that, it never interfered with my sleep but I also didn't do it frequently. These days I don't even remember my dreams the majority of the time and I've kind of lost interest in the whole thing, takes discipline to accomplish in the first place and I kinda lost interest TBH.
I have never heard of it being dangerous before, but if I had to speculate I'd say it probably depends on how you use it: You might be able to take command to end the nightmare but I'm not a doctor or psychiatrist but maybe in avoiding the nightmares altogether you're denying yourself some sort of personal growth or insight?
The real answer is probably: More research needs to be done.

Build a ground projected laser spedometer. It'll be heavy, bulky, and kind of effort intensive, but it'll look neat!
IDK about that, but I've only done it a few times. Mostly I just used to to fly around my neighborhood like they'd do in old Kung Fu movies.
More going after corrupt judges please.
