  • I’m amending my rating of Naruto down a point to a light-to-mid 6 because retrospectively the manga is a Jenga game of baffling decisions and writing choices made by Kishimoto.

I’m still mad about how Hinata and Sakura were handled. the unhinged misogyny, both ambient and direct, was never patched up at all

  • Slight correction—technically I am the Woker but this was on the job-havers side of things

  • hello mahmoud

you and all others in Gaza are the bravest group of people in modern day

I'm an anti-Zionist Jew myself. I only became as such witnessing the disgusting farse that "Israel" is with my own two eyes back in 2019. Our tour group was brought to see landmine strips and weapons presentations and were expected to fundamentally write them off as good and necessary because we were Jews, like they were. It exposed a lot of the contradictions in my own liberal world view which is why I am who I am today.

I am very much interested in reading Sinwar's book, in my eyes he has earned the status of a mythical figure, in his life and in his death, on a level of the life and death of Che Guevara–I will look to see if there are any English translations of it available.

  • wait is this just the e = mc2 + AI bit repackaged

  • snake_case is valid, I’m just operating on the assumption that these rubes want it to be stdlib-adjacent

  • if they're proposing it as a C stdlib-adjacent method (given they're saying it should be an alternative to malloc [memory allocate]) it absolutely should be lowercase. plus is redundant because you just append the extra functionality to the name by concatenating it to the original name. mallocai [memory allocate ai] feels wrong, so ai should be first.

if this method idea wasn't an abomination in and of itself that's how it would probably be named. it currently looks straight out of Java. and at that point why are we abbreviating malloc. why not go the distance and say largeLanguageModelQueryingMemoryAllocator

  • and it's malloc, why are we doing this for things we're ultimately just putting on the heap? overshoot a little–if you don't know already, it's not going to be perfect no matter what. if you're going to be this annoying about memory (which is not a bad thing) learn rust dipshit. they made a whole language about it

  • the way I kinda know this is the product of C-Suite and not a low-level software engineer is that the syntax is mallocPlusAI and not aimalloc or gptmalloc or llmalloc.

  • new memory leak just dropped–the geepeetee says the persistent element 'close button' needs a terabyte of RAM to render, the linear algebra homunculus said so, so we're crashing your computer, you fucking nerd

  • want to run an application? better have internet fucko, the idea guys have to burn down the amazon rainforest to puzzle out the answer to the question of the meaning of life, the universe, and everything: how many bits does a 32-bit integer need to have

  • sorry every element of this application is going to have to query a third party server that might literally just undershoot it and now we have an overflow issue oops oops oops woops oh no oh fuck

  • lets add full seconds of latency to malloc with a non-determinate result this is a great amazing awesome idea it's not like we measure the processing speeds of computers in gigahertz or anything

  • if we're talking about my posting the way, I guess the way I'd describe my personal touch is that I've naturally got a wide vocabulary and I think I'm pretty decent at emulating others' prose and tousling up my own style of prose to fit whatever the vibe is.

I can only speak a little on my own style as it's just what is natural to me–Objectively, I use a lot of em-dashes, but that's really just a me thing–I don't like using colons in place of where semicolons or commas may go: it feels too intangibly limiting in scope.

Subjectively, I think I use a lot of abruptness and attempts-to-overwhelm for my comedic style. A lot of times, there are a lot of little details I fixate on, i.e. flow and punctuation, either to be deliberate about it or make things read better. I am a bit of an obsessive editor, I tend to look a lot of my bits over many times and revise them sometimes even hours after sending them out.

Can't really say much else as that's a level of self-awareness about my writing I have not obtained. I wouldn't say I'm in the top leagues of the best-to-post on this site but I think I'm above-average

if it's emote fluency it's entirely because I'm the emote maintainer

  • Every little detail I hear about Sinwar's life and death makes it feel straight out of Shōnen Jump. A man born in a refugee camp that outlives him. A man who went from emiseration to a college degree. A man who became fluent in his oppressors language in captivity. A man who went from indefinite imprisonment to leading the resistance. A man who projects a Samsonian level of indomitability. They have to keep making excuses that 'he's in another country', 'he's underground' for why they just can't kill him for years, but you can find him walking down the street in Gaza and just pull him aside for an interview.

He's still above ground fighting, a year into the entire region being carpet-bombed with the expressed intent to kill him specifically. He gets hit with tanks, missiles, dronefire, he's still fighting with a severed hand–he's 61 years old! Even when he's bleeding out in a dusty-old chair exposed to the elements, the surveillance drone pilots are still instinctively dodging the pieces of rebar he's chucking at the damned thing in a final 'fuck you' to his oppressors with his one good hand.

They have to finish him off with a sniper round. They can't touch this man. They can't be near this man. He's the bogeyman. It feels intrinsically embarrassing to even make the comparison–it makes me feel like my analysis is fundamentally juvenile, but I just cannot shut it out of my mind, it keeps coming back to me the more I think about it–this man went out like Gojo Satoru. A life and a death that can only be rivaled by Che Guevara's in terms of it feeling straight out of fiction. What a guy.

  • if the reports are true: Yahya Sinwar, Z"l – I owe a great debt to you if we meet after life.
