Harris victory seen as most likely election outcome, according to CNBC Fed Survey
  • I like this. Run up the score is such a simple elegant way of getting the point across to sports nerds. No reason to artificially keep the race close. We don’t get sportsmanship points for keeping it close. This is THE game, we want to win and we don’t care by how much. All that matters is we win. Go and score a touchdown/homerun/goal/point/strike/whatever by casting your vote and tell everyone else to do the same.

  • Hey Reddit lurkers! my ad-free, open source Reddit viewer RDX is on Android now
  • Hey I have noticed occasional updates that have been great! I am curious if you would consider adding a sorting by controversial? Keep up the good work though! It’s been nice just getting to see what’s going on at Reddit without supporting them.

  • Anon's first day of college
  • This comment made me think for a minute. My thought process was one initially of, “he can’t be talking to OOP we are two websites removed”. But that is the beauty of it. Someone else who may need both the OOP story and your congratulatory comment to build constructive self awareness could be on this site and learn from it. All that to say, no matter how small you think the scope of people you are reaching is keep commenting and being constructive like @Draegur@lemm.ee

It is good for the world when we support people in realistic ways. Sometimes you have to gently tell someone they are wrong, sometimes a simple congratulations go a long way. But not saying something is always worse.

  • What games popularized certain mechanics?
  • I wish I could upvote twice. It just allows so much more customization, that allows much more comfortable hand positions. I often with disable my caps lock and use A and caps lock as run and crouch.

  • What games popularized certain mechanics?
  • But for real, i struggle to play games with wasd default and now keybind changes. Part of it is as simple as my hand is just used to using esdf and I constantly hit the wrong keys in those games. But the loss of useable keys on my pinky just feels so bad.

  • What was the last movie you watched?
  • Back to the future. It was my wife’s first time seeing it all the way through. Yes. Watch it. It’s funny, dumb, and a clever story. If you can get past some of the classic campiness from the 80s you won’t regret watching it. However, my wife could not get past the campiness and would probably recommend avoiding it.

  • Discussion: What made Sword Art Online, the fictional MMORPG, special?
  • Look up foxhole. It’s a pretty fun war mmo. Different in a lot of aspects from a normal MMORPG but “realistic” in that it could have happened in an alternate reality. It’s grounded in science and history, but different factions and technology.

  • Indie developer behind 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rated shipbuilder argues that Steam's "free advertising" is worth the 30% cut
  • As great a take as that is who will host the online service? Piracy can get you far but not always all the way. We need an open source game hosting option. But even that is not all. We need one that has the visibility of steam and the UI to boot. There a a couple of problems that legitimately need solving before we can just say piracy is the answer.

  • Kamala Harris erases Trump’s poll lead in one week
  • Hopefully I didn’t come across as advocating for not voting. I was just expressing my disappointment in how good people are unwilling to have hard conversations where opinions flow and change. 100% we need to vote and be the change we want to see. I just fear the changes will be slower than we want. The first step is keep tyrants away from the office then move forward.
