I met someone who claimed to believe that every word in the Bible is true and that it describes events that all actually happened. How do such people explain inconsistencies like this?
I think about this idea a lot. In my mind, I thought it was obvious to everybody that most if not all of the Bible was meant to be allegory or instructional. Clearly I don't know a lot of fundamentalist Christians.... How do they account for different translations and versions of the Bible?
I'm a financial services professional with access to so much info that could be used for identity theft and other nefarious purposes. I've been doing this forever and still feel weird asking people for their checking account info.

"You're the last person I thought would say that" 😂😂😂
They definitely don't want people voting on abortion rights
Doesn't it? The Reddit one is always such a mess
Thank you!
Thanks, I will check it out!
Lol my daughter teaches math, I'll find out what she knows and we can compare notes
I use it professionally and I hate it
I used Infinity for Reddit but I don't see a Lemmy version in the Google app store. Does it actually exist and if so, where can I get it? I am using Jerboa and I like it a lot but would be interested in trying Infinity for Lemmy.
I tried Sync and just found it to be "more" than I needed... almost too many customization options
Thanks Jerboa peeps for the arrows that skip to the next comment group!! I was wanting one 😊 Much appreciated and I will be sending a donation to support your work.
This was one of my favorite subs and I'm so happy to see it over here in the Lemmy-verse!
