I do this all the time. I print two pages on one A4 sheet (or rather four, two on each side) and then fold them so they are like a leaflet.
That's the main advantage of the system â you don't have to design things differently depending on how big you want to print them. You can scale the same design to an A6 flyer or an A2 Poster.

They also stopped dating them at some point apparently, so I'm not sure what you are trying to say. It's not like the early stages of dating usually involve mowing the lawn or cleaning the house together so that's something you only find out after having already found plenty of other things to like about this person.
Self-care always makes me feel better. I prepare something nice to drinkâtea, wine, beer, depending on my moodâand a tasty snack, then put on one of my favourite audiobooks or TV shows and treat myself to a hot bath or foot bath with a relaxing bath essence.
I'm pretty sure my washing machine is the thing that saves me most time. Washing by hand is fucking hard work and very time consuming. I would neither have the time nor the physical endurance to keep all my clothes and household items in a state acceptable to society.

Die Autos haben mir alle freundlich Platz gemacht und der Sprung war an sich auch ein Klacks. Leider waren die Fenster etwas zu gut geputzt und ich hab erst mitten im Sprung gemerkt, dass das Fenster gar nicht offen ist. Vor kurzem hab ich zum Vergleich Google Maps befragt und das wollte mich eine zweispurige StraĂenrampe ohne FuĂweg hochschicken und dann sollte ich so in der Mitte davon in mein Ziel, das daneben liegende GebĂ€ude springen. So ca. auf Höhe des 1,5. Stocks.

You're doing neither yourself nor anyone else a favour by being overly shy and reticent. You yourself will enjoy life much more when you are yourself and while not everyone will like you, the ones who don't often don't stay in your life long and it's easier to find people you vibe with if they can see you for who you are.
Granted, I very much did not take this advice as a teenager and even now I'm occasionally too shy. But looking back it was good advice and I really wish I hadn't wasted so much time and energy on not being negatively noticed by people I didn't really care about then and who haven't been in my life for years.
Well, I sure hope that's not where visitors are supposed to walk because that barrier wouldn't stop a blind turtle from escaping.
Wenn meine Sprachkenntnisse und meine aktuelle KonzentrationsfĂ€higkeit es zulassen, konsumiere ich Medien eigentlich am liebsten in Originalsprache. Vor allem BĂŒcher von englischsprachigen Autor:innen lese ich eigentlich gerne auf Englisch. Bisher hab ich sie mir dann meistens gekauft. Bei deutschen BĂŒchern bin ich mittlerweile fast komplett zum Ausleihen, meistens in EBook-Form, ĂŒbergegangen und wĂŒrde das fĂŒr Englisch auch gerne tun. Das Angebot an englischsprachigen BĂŒchern und EBooks ist in meiner Bibliothek und auch bei anderen, bei denen ich geschaut hab, allerdings eher... dĂŒrftig. Hat jemand einen Tipp?

Among the many things I love about the Discworld novels are the descriptions of people. Terry Pratchett often manages with a few sentences to paint a picture that is often a bit funny, sometimes slightly weird but always hits the nail right on the head.
As an example, these descriptions of the witches in Lords and Ladies:

Da ja gerade Gewittersaison ist, liest man öfter wieder die Empfehlung, dass man â sofern man nicht in einem Auto oder GebĂ€ude Schutz suchen kann â eine möglichst tief gelegene, freie FlĂ€che aufsuchen soll, in die Hocke gehen, die FĂŒĂe eng nebeneinander stellen und die Arme um die Knie legen soll. In der RealitĂ€t habe ich das aber noch nie jemanden machen sehen. Abstand von BĂ€umen halten die meisten noch, aber darĂŒber hinaus ĂŒberwiegt "wird schon nicht ausgerechnet hier einschlagen". Ich schlieĂe mich da selbst mit ein. Seid ihr da weniger nachlĂ€ssig und haltet auch an die Empfehlungen?
I have selected Subscribed as the default in my General settings:
When switching from my instance (feddit.de) to the Everything feed, I end up in Subscribed no matter which option I choose in the menu shown below. This is expected behaviour if I select Subscribed but not for Local or All. With pictures:

I used Subscribed as an example, but the same thing happens with Local or All as default, then Local or All will be shown respectively.
The weird thing is, it only happens switching from my instance, not if I was in one of the lemmy.world feeds or already in Everything (so selecting the intended option again a second time works, but I guess that's not how it's meant to work).
I just tried to delete my display name in the account settings and it didn't work. I deleted the name in the box and pressed the save button at the bottom. Then I returned to my profile and the display name was still there. Refreshing and reopening the app didn't change that. Returning to the account settings, the display name was back in the box. I tried several times with the same results. Changing the name does work, but removing it doesn't. I thought at first it might just not be possible in Lemmy, but I successfully removed it in Jerboa.
