Starting HRT

It's my own laptop

I'm still using Windows on my work laptop don't know if I will switch to Linux there as well because there is so much to setup for work 😅

I already have some experience with Fedora Server where I selfhost my stuff so I'm confident that I will have the same experience.

I found it was pretty easy once I knew how ^^

Just enable third party repositories during the setup, search for Nvidia in the Software Center and install the drivers and follow the instructions displayed, done.

Currently the only thing for me that definitely needs improvement is the configuration of GDM because I just can't understand why my display configuration doesn't get applied to my login screen so that my login is on my secondary monitor instead of my primary one. And why can't I set a wallpaper for my login screen easily? Things like these should be built in.

Don't know if the first time had something to do with Nvidia but I changed something in GDM settings and couldn't login anymore, it just returned me to the login screen after typing in my password. The second time it said something about a missing kernel module upon startup. Both times I followed the same instructions you linked but doing it through the software center is definitely simpler and more straightforward.

I see the girl in me more and more when I look in the mirror and showering gets more fun each time 👀

I started to regularly work out. It's amazing what the right hormones can do to your brain and you start to care about your own body again.

174cm. Until recently I was 176cm but due to hormones I lost some height and it's still possible I might reach like 171cm which I wouldn't be unhappy about.

For me patches work really good. I apply them to my butt and put a tegaderm patch over it to make it more resistant to water and movement, I don't ever have to worry about it coming off. Cost is also not really a problem since most of the cost is covered by insurance anyway. My last blood levels were 123 pg/ml for E and 39 ng/dl for T (these are my levels with my starting dose (75μg/24hours estradiol (with 2 patches per week) and 10mg cypro), since then I could decrease my cypro intake by a little bit). Regarding the anti androgen I don't really have a choice since that is whats used here in Germany and also my endo only prescribes dermal application estradiol, so spray, gel or patches and she doesn't do monotherapy as far as I know. But since I'm planning on doing bottom surgery in the near future anyway I don't worry about that too much.

Edit: And injections are unfortunately almost impossible to get here.

Some people just hate it when other people are happy I guess. Or it's just your run of the mill transphobe.
