  • I think you're even being too short-sighted on that because that's what they did with Biden.

Harris was a succession problem that they created by not giving Biden a proper primary to begin with.

  • If "AI" doesn't attract customers why are companies hyping it so hard? Are they just dumb or is there another factor?
  • It's all a sunk-cost fallacy. They've dumped all of this money into it, so therefore they have to double down on it.

Especially if they're trying to get a bunch of money from Wall Street and other investors.

The biggest contributor being all of these companies believe they can now just lay off a bunch of workers and make up the difference with these LLMs even though they are not at all a replacement for humans.

Less workers, less people that have to pay, and more money can be funneled to the top.

  • Top Trump donor 'stunned' after he lashed out at her in a series of 'angry texts'
  • But there's a certain point where your age does matter when you're trying to do what is said to be the most stressful job on the planet.

The stress from the job is just going to make them have those cognitive decline faster at the age that they're at.

So age does matter. Where it should not be the only marker, it should be included in the decision.

Also, there's already a limit on how old you have to be to run for president. There should be a top end as well for the same reasons you are no longer reflecting the majority of your peers at that point.

And when you consider most 80 year olds don't understand technology at all, and I haven't met any 80 year olds that were up to date, it is a big factor.

  • FOSS and Privacy Focused Text to Speech Apps
  • If you watch their videos, they explain it. They don't want to call it a free product because they're working hard on it and should be paid for it. But it is a perpetual trial license for those that don't have the means or ability to pay.

  • Undecided voters say they now support Joe Biden after debate
  • You cannott undo dementia or Alzheimers the mans brain is going. With how few press conferences and speeches he has done without a teleprompter its fairly clear that this is NOT new.

He needs to grow a pair and gracefully step down, or he is just handing this to Trump on a silver platter.

  • Excessive 502 errors.

New to using thunder and I really like most everything about it.

However I am getting excessive 502 errors and I wanted to see if this is somewhat normal or causes.

Usually 502's are the servers failing in one way or another, but it happens whether I'm on all local or subscribe.

Indiana Jones and Flash flopped hard. Could this be the beginning of the end for franchise films?
  • Sadly, no. However, it dose (hopefully) show that people are starting to show it has to be at least mediocre.

    The state of creativity is so shit now. It feels like all they do is;

grab a random book or video game and hope it works out.

Make the 10000th in a series beating whatever dead horse they can.

    "Live action"

Remake something less than 10 years old

I hope the writers strike does something to stop the death spiral.

  • To all the new(er) Reddit refugees!
  • Happy to try it though I haven't found a cell app I much like yet.

I think the biggest challenge is going to be transplanting the knowledge. There are so many tutorials and walkthroughs that are on reddit.

It's why what was working best was the Mods making everything private.
