  • Well, trump is a lot worse, but he hasn't committed a genocide. So that makes it pretty close but in Trump's favor. Why would trump increase aid to Israel? He doesn't stand to make any money off it. We know how trump operates. He just wants to make money and have people talk about him. He is probably the most predictable president in living memory. The reason I think he'd pull back on aid to Israel is that he got us out of Afghanistan, and was the first president in 50 years not to start a new war. Dating back to 1945, it's only him, Carter, and Ford. We obviously can't rely on his words, but actions speak louder anyway. So, why do I think it? It's what he did last time. To be fair though, he will most likely try another coup.

  • Okay let's get some facts down, because you are sorely lacking them.

    1. Britain stole what is now Israel from Palestine in 1948. Palestine is older. There's a strong argument that all of Israel is still Palestine, seeing as Palestine never agreed to it.
    2. For 30 years prior to 10/7, Israel carried out a siege of Gaza, for all intents and purposes. Gazans could not leave to receive life saving medical care without permission, they could not build water pipes without the IDF bombing them, they could not bring in food from outside because Israel was rationing the number of calories they allowed in, and they could not build hospitals featuring any level of technology because Israel prevented all tech from coming in (not just weapons, all technology more complex than a flip phone).
    3. Genocide is an ongoing concept. The fact that Jews exist today is not evidence that the Holocaust didn't happen. If a group sees 5 million births every year, it is still genocide to kill 2 million of them per year.

It is frankly absurd that you think you know more about this than I do, while getting all of these basic facts wrong. You obviously haven't researched this at all, so why do you think you are some expert on it? I certainly didn't know the 3 facts I laid out above before doing any research, nobody does. So why are you convinced you just happen to possess correct knowledge of a highly complex situation innately? Nobody has ever been right about anything worth thinking about before researching anything on the subject, I promise it's not just you.

  • Have you noticed that a lot of people aren't so keen on this trump fella? I'm pretty sure I could beat trump if the DNC got behind me, and I'm not even 35. The only guy who can't beat him is the one currently doing a genocide and also overseeing a tanking economy from the working class perspective. It is MARCH. if we had a sane country, the start of the election would still be at least 2 months out. It's definitely not too late, especially with how polls are looking. 100K Uncommitted Democrats in Michigan, a state Biden only won by 10K statewide. This election and the plans moving forward are too important to leave with a guy who is deeply unpopular, losing cognitive function by the day, and is at best 50/50 to even survive his term. Oh yeah and that guy is also committing a genocide.

I'm a socialist, and I plan to vote for trump, solely over the genocide. But even if you think Biden is less bad than trump, we cannot afford to have someone as awful as the lesser of those evils. Like, if the election is Biden Trump, we have already lost, which side wins is almost irrelevant. The urgent problem is not that Trump might win, it's that even if he doesn't, the winner is still deeply unqualified to be president. I mean fuck, let's just nominate Obama. If trump can run then Obama can. And I think obama was an awful president. But at least he is popular, knows where he is the entire time he's awake, and isn't going to die before 2028.

People think that democracy will die by court rulings, trump getting away with a coup, etc. But it won't. Democracy will die when 70+% of the country or so says "that's not my president, and he isn't my neighbor's president, so why would I listen to his government?"

  • He might do that. But we all know that trump saying something has a very low correlation with him actually doing it. He ended the war in Afghanistan, a war which Biden spent 8 years overseeing and not ending. And I don't think trump can personally gain from the genocide continuing, so I don't see a reason he wouldn't end this too. Trump has a history of peace, his rhetoric isn't as bad as Bidens, what he actually says he will do isn't as bad as what Biden says he will do, AND... he isn't currently the guy doing it. I pretty much only care about this issue at this point, and I just don't see trump actually being worse than Biden on it. Biden's handlers care about maintaining the military industrial complex. Trump's handlers care about scamming the government $1 million at a time. If the end result is Trump steals a billion dollars and attempts a coup again, that is a fantastic outcome for us.

  • Yeah okay, I obviously don't have proof and also don't give a fuck. Regardless, my point on Taylor was that she isn't some supermodel. if I just knew her in real life, I'd have no issue deciding not to call her back, which isn't true for most famous women. Obviously because Taylor is actually talented, while basically every other famous young woman was selected for fame almost entirely for her looks.

  • By not voting for genocide, I will cause genocide. Incredible logic.

There are plenty of true leftists, we are bigger than you seem to think. We just don't include people who are genocide apologists. You can't vote for genociders and be a leftist. It's really not a high bar.

  • No, I said all TRUE leftists. No true leftist would vote for a genocider, and that's not debatable. I think Lenin actually said as much in his book on imperialism, where he outlines how capital is going to react to WW2 40 years ahead of time (he explains that they will flock to the fascists due to their shared interests)

You're clearly just a typical lib that doesn't understand politics. Read some news that isn't fake or STFU.

  • Are you really so pathetic you use an alt to double down vote me? This is a 3 week old thread and you have clearly voted twice on every comment, mine and yours. LMAO

Also you clearly missed the point entirely. Try spending time reading comments rather than switching between accounts.

  • No, I mean does Russia, China, or Al Jazeera say that NK rigs their own elections. Or any country/paper that doesn't stand to gain from lying about NK in the same direction as the US media stands to gain.

Yes, it is good to kill IDF soldiers. They are committing genocide. Hamas isn't hiding behind civilians, they ARE civilians, who have been radicalized by the genocide. Also it's literally impossible to position an army base somewhere in Gaza that is not next to civilian housing.

But to be clear, even if Hamas IS using human shields, it is still a crime against humanity to target that shield. Source on them systemically violating it though? I'm mostly interested to see if your source is blatant propaganda. Presumably "100 Gazans got in the way of our missiles last week, but they were actually all Hamas anyway due to living within a mile of a hospital "Military base" ".

IDF is the bad guys here, not sure how much clearer they have to make it. Even if they didn't have a history of never telling the truth, they wouldn't be trustworthy.

  • I don't spread disinformation, I spread information. It just tends to be information that conflicts with the official US propaganda, given how much the US media lies. Who is benefitting from the truth being spread should be completely irrelevant, we spread it because it's true, not because it makes us look good. If y'all want me to spread more favorable information to America, maybe America should start making the truth be more favorable to them.

American liberals call me a Russian agent purely because I spread the truth, and they don't like the truths I speak. Let that sink in. I'm telling y'all the emperor has no clothes, and y'all call me an agent of the emperor's enemies.

For instance, you ever heard of unit 731 in Japan? Atrocities on par with the Holocaust done to unsuspecting Chinese civilians, and America gave the perpetrators immunity in their version of Nuremberg in order to obtain their biochem research and keep it out of the soviet's hands.

Is this Russian disinformation? I mean it sure makes America look bad, so it must be, right? But it's also literally true.

  • Something tells me that Israel isn't going to start "leading with the facts" now, out of the blue. The facts do not make them look good at all. Any reporter who uses that line should be dismissed as fake news. Are we allowed to sue newspapers for lying?
