I always thought it was the same thing as Homestuck and avoided both!
Stupid chatbot doesn't know sugar is considered a wet ingredient.
Does calling Netanyahu 'Bibi' put a bad taste in anyone else's mouth? I know people are trying to emasculate him a lot of the time, but it feels like calling Hitler 'Addy'.
I relate to him. My dad always worried that I would mess up the carpet, so I never had anything messy.
Reminder that the SC episode of Down the Rabbit Hole came out 7 years ago.
I kind of thought the Spock thing would convey I wasn't 100% serious in my reply to a weed shitpost.
See, I'd much rather just occasionally have to skip a song than listen to an AI mispronouncing band names.
Standard middle school definition of species is applicable here. If they can breed and their offspring is fertile, they're the same species.
QED, Spock is sterile.
They're gonna feel reeeaaal silly when they run out of digits in... ~200 years.
If something is marketed as "unlimited", I don't think there is such a thing as "wildly excessive use". This isn't a competitive eater going to an all-you-can-eat buffet and being mad about getting kicked out. It's a business using a service in a way that's seemingly in-line with what they paid for.
Are there types of dryers that would be classified as machines but not tumble dryers?
Go to school, champ. You'll get there.
It was a joke. Well, sort of. A true joke, if you will.
Yeah, I recently found a post there where a person wanted to modify a downloaded mesh. The first comment was telling them they would need years of experience to do it well. The OP responded that they had figured out a solution that they were happy with, to which someone told him that his results were shitty and then explained a way to do it better. When the OP got upset at this back to back dismissal, everyone unanimously decided they were an asshole.
Nothing you said disagrees with what I said. My comment was all about the impulse to abstain, not advocating abstention. My final sentence calls them both genocide supporters.
I think there's a perception of preaching to the choir here. A vanishingly small percentage of Lemmy users would ever vote for Trump, and Biden is just the default other option. You don't need to convince someone not to eat a turd, but if the other option is to just eat a smaller turd, it's fair to focus your efforts on getting people to opt out entirely.
FWIW, I will be voting, even though my vote is electorally useless, but I understand not wanting to cosign the actions of either septuagenarian genocide supporter.
I think most people on Lemmy would agree that private planes simply shouldn't exist, at least on a personal use level. I don't actually care at all where these rich bozos are going, but the ability to shame them for their method of travel outweighs any potential privacy concern. Airports are public places, airplanes (were) a matter of public record. If they truly want privacy, they should find an alternative means of conveyance. If they absolutely need to travel incognito, they could just charter a plane, for Pete's sake.
They might have meant the illustrations, rather than the captions.
