What are folks playing this weekend? (Sept 22nd)
  • Finishing up Lies of P. I think it is... fine. I don't think it knows which souls game it wants to, and it really suffers for it.

It also thinks it needs to be harder and more annoying than it needs to be.

It gets to the point where I just run past everything instead of engaging with the game.

Credentials before anyone makes git gud assumptions: I have platinumed every fromsoft rpg and frequently do challenge runs.

Maybe that makes my standards too high for a soulslike.

  • Intel releases a new open source gaming performance overlay and telemetry application
  • Reminder that they don't mean telemetry as in spying on you for intel. Gamers Nexus confirmed with the intel gpu lead that the telemetry is JUST for capturing data to display much more in depth statistics that you can't get from something like rivatuner.

It software is open source, hopefully it can be confirmed.

  • Best Opening Scene of a Movie
  • I liked the intro to 28 weeks later more than the rest of the movie. Even though it makes little sense how the kid led the infected to them, when they can outrun most people.

  • Favorite 2-factor authenticator?
  • there's no risk of them selling to a company like Tencent etc. The evil you know and all that

That's... actually a REALLY compelling point. I hate how that is a compelling point.
