Unacademy Teacher Fired for telling students to 'Vote for Educated Leaders' Remark during lecture.
  • Can you get education through life experience too? Thats kind of what I was getting at. Wisdom and experience are NOT part of any college study. I think you're over generalizing and stereotyping non-college grads as if they are lesser people than those who did go to college. No way they could possibly think for themselves or see whats actually going on out there without some college professor leading them by hand. C'mon. I only disparage higher education because of what it has become, not the idea behind it. You dont think safe spaces, feelings mattering more than facts, ragging on capitalism, etc. which are all big things at colleges are preparing kids for the real world? Oh and these warm-hearted colleges dont mind sticking these kids with $200K in loans for their degree in Dandelion Botany. Classy move. Talk about "manipulation". Damned right.

There are a ton of super successful, happy people whom are very intelligent that didnt step foot in any University. Sorry they didnt follow your prescribed path.

For the 800th time: Religion does not belong in public schools and it isnt any longer.

  • No books are being banned. The access to them is being restricted to age appropriate kids. The 1st amendment pretty much gets rid of book bans. Enough with the Nazi references....its getting old and sounds dumb because it is.

  • Trolling? Because Im not towing the company line here? Thats so "the usual" comeback(calling someone a troll) when anyone questions anything at all about these issues. Just shutup and do what the school board says. No questions, please. Are you denying that they are actively trying to hide some very important information from parents about this sexuality and gender stuff? Thats a fact. You are free to deny it but it remains a fact.

I said before that religion is not in schools and it doesnt belong there.

  • It’s time for Americans to embrace small cars
  • Well, maybe we like open spaces more and some of us prefer not living right next to shopping and activity centers? is that so bad? Not to us it isnt. Different strokes for different folks. The village I live in is very walk-able. We take walks all the time. So do lots of people. Kids that live close enough to the local schools walk to school also. Most have a fairly short ride which does require a bus.

However, no, we do not walk to major shopping centers, our jobs, etc. So what? Who has the right to say were wrong for using cars as needed or desired? We like our acre sized lots. We like having some privacy. We like our yards, patios, etc, etc. It doesnt make us monsters. Its just how we roll. We dont tell you what to do or how to live in Europe, right? Of course not. I could say the same thing about you "missing" out on our small village living(of course any small local shops can and do get walked to) and open spaces. You like it all packed in and close. We dont. Thats OK. No one is right or wrong here

You have 700 million people but its broken up by separate countries. You dont think that makes it a tad different than the USA which is a melting pot of.... yeah, lots of European people and various other nations? It sure does. Gee though, I thought I did agree somewhat they we do need to embrace the smaller car.

  • No longer have kids in schools, thankfully. Ummm - maybe your schools are different but ours have no religion in them at all. They booted that a while ago. Can barely celebrate Christmas or Halloween now without someone getting "offended". And, you are also missing that there is a clear agenda at public schools. You may agree with it but not everyone does. Public schools should be 100% neutral in every way possible. So, example: Our neighbor teaches at a semi-local high school. Back during the riots....errr, sorry the protests by BLM, the school allowed BLM flags everywhere but no pro police or support the blue flags. Why? Should be neutral. The LGBTQ stuff is very aggressive. You might have missed that too or your schools are different.

Heres a deal: lets stop pushing ALL agendas & politics in schools and just teach them usable life skills? Sound good? I think so.

  • How did we get on colon cancer? LOL. How does a heavily progressive eh hem "education" which is infused big time with propaganda make someone better at being a politician? I didnt say replace doctors with landscape guys. C'mon. I simply stated that alls you people want is more social studies majors running the country and quite a few of us do not. Dont make statements that are false.

  • No, you tell me. Educated can mean a lot of things. To YOU and your buddies it means the standard path through some progressive institution which has produced a large population of weak, victim-driven babies that need crayons and safe spaces. Look up the brilliant Jordan Peterson and he'll lay it out for you how badly the higher education system has failed kids. Warning: He uses facts and doesnt care about your touchy-feely crap.

  • Hilarious = "Liberty" is the cornerstone of the USA but it means hate to you? Man.... what happened to you to cause such anger? I feel bad for ya.

Moms for liberty simply want to protect their kids from the wrong material. Sorry you disagree. I suspect you have no kids and/or have a reason to support some of the crap going on at schools these days?

  • It’s time for Americans to embrace small cars
  • How does quality of life suffer when we own our own homes, have privacy, safe neighborhoods, decent schools, peace & quiet, etc. Help me out here? Not everyone wants to live on top of each other in some clustered city. Thats fine if you do but people should have a choice.

I have not been to Europe but comparing Europe to the USA doesnt work. We have 300+ million people. We have a hugely diverse population with both religion and culture. Texas is larger than almost every Euro country. You should understand easily why there is no way to compare the two.

  • Bezos like most wealthy people have no standard income per se like us on regular payrolls do. So, what you want is a net worth tax. Not sure how easy that is to implement or who decides what stuff is worth. Whats wrong with a flat tax on any and all sources of income? I thing Rep. Dick Armey tried to come up with that way back when.

  • Nope - its the idea that many of these books are simply not appropriate for the ages of the kids they are being read to. Perhaps this specific instance isnt so horrible but dont act like schools arent trying desperately to block parents from all kinds of "things" in public schools. C'mon, get out there and look into this stuff a bit versus getting info from unreliable sources.
